Chapter 13- Christmas Break

Start from the beginning

I closed my eyes and leaned into him. "Sing me a song?" I asked.

I could feel him smiling. He kissed my head again. "Sure, Deathy."

"When I was six years old I broke my leg
I was running from my brother and his friends
And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass I rolled down
I was younger then, take me back to when I

Found my heart and broke it here

Made friends and lost them through the years

And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long, I know I've grown
But I can't wait to go home
I'm on my way," he sounded like an angel. His voice vibrated softly. It was as if the people on the train had stopped to listen.

Driving at ninety down those country lanes
Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill

fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes

Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends
Had my first kiss on a Friday night, I don't reckon that I did it right
But I was younger then, take me back to when

We found weekend jobs when we got paid
We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight
Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long, oh how we've grown
But I can't wait to go home
I'm on my way

Driving at ninety down those country lanes
Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill

Over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill

one friend left to sell clothes
One works down by the coast
One had two kids but lives alone

One's brother overdosed
One's already on his second wife
One's just barely getting by

But these people raised me and I can't wait to go home

And I'm on my way, I still remember

This old country lane
When we did not know the answers

And I miss the way you make me feel, it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill .
" he finished the song and I sighed.

"Thank you, I love your voice."

"Anything for you, I love you."

"I love you too." My eyes were droopy, I sighed once more and my breathing evened out.

-------------------------------------

"Dude, you hurt him and you die." A deep voice said as I slowly came to terms with reality- it's not likely to happen though.

"I wouldn't dare, I love him too much." I felt Will reply, his vocal cords vibrated through his chest.

I shifted in his embrace, I lifted my head up making my head nudged in his neck. I breathed out and I kissed his neck. "I love you too, but if you do hurt me you have worse problems than Jason, you have the god of the underworld and a goddess to worry about."

He went red and turned his head down, making my face an inch away from his. "I love you too much to do that."

I smiled. "I love you too." I put my face back into his neck and fell asleep again.

-----------------------------------

"Neeks, come on," Will said softly in my ear. "We're here."

I sat up. "What? Where?"

"Outside my mom's house," he said, I jumped up.

"You mean I slept through the train and the drive here?"

Will pondered that for a moment before looking at me. "You don't remember?"

I cocked my head to the side. "What do you mean?"

"You shadow traveled us here."

I stuck my tongue out like I do when I think and I thought back.

"Come on Nico," Will said. "Wake up."

I  shot up. "What? I heard Cake up."

He laughed. "I said wake up."

"So no cake?" He shook his head. "Fuck."

He rolled his eyes. "Come on, time to get off the train and find a cab to take us to the airport."

I paled. "Nope, I am not going to tresspass in Zeus's domain."

"Well then what do you suggest," he asked crossing his arms as we walked off the train.

I smirked. "No!" he said. I rolled my eyes and bent down. I muttered an enchantment and my Chauffeur appeared. "Jules Albert?"

I nodded then yawned. "Take us to um, Naomi Solaces house." I crawled into the car and curled up like a cat and fell asleep again.

I looked back at Will with a lopsided smile. "I guess I did. Huh, you ready?"

He fidgeted with his hands. "Yeah, I can do this."

We got out of the car and Albert dissapered, we walked up to the front door and stood there for a good minute. "Are you going to ring the doorbell or...?"

"Hmn? Oh um... Yeah." his hand shook as he rung the bell. We must've been outside for a good ten minutes.

Finally, the door swung open revealing-
