Summary:
Wade goes on a mission for two weeks and comes back early to surprise his family. He's been married to Peter for six years and they both have a six year old son named Ben, and a three year old named Jane.

"Dada. When is dad going to be home?" Ben said, his big brown doe eyes looking up at his dad as he was making dinner.

"He should be home in a week or so. I'm sorry bubba, I know he's gone for a long time sometimes but it's his job. He's out there catching bad guys and putting them away. He's a hero." Peter said, looking down at the boy

"But you do that too and it doesn't take you that long.." Ben said

"I'm a different type of hero. I go out and fight crime near here and choose who I fight. Your dad gets missions that vary from far to close. This happened to be long. And he doesn't choose his missions." Peter reasoned as he put the lid on the pot with the pasta in it and turned off the stove to let it cool

(A/N: Who read 'stove' as 'Steve'? No one? Alright :(

"Still..I miss dad.." Ben said

Peter sighed "I know Benny. I do too. But he will be back for us and stay for a long time. Just wait." He said and picked Ben up, going into the living room and setting him down "Where's your sister?"

"Sleeping." Ben said

"Alright, well do you want to watch tv before dinner hm?" Peter asked

"Yes! Paw Patrol. Or that assassin show that he shoots these guns and gets bad guys!" Ben said excitedly

"Did your dad let you watch that show? I'm going to have to talk to him." Peter said and was about to turn on the tv when a voice rang out

"I bet I'm in some real trouble now." Wade said as Peter and Ben turned to look at him

"Daddy!" Ben said, jumping up excitedly and hugging his father's leg

"Hey there kid. I missed you." Wade said and picked up Ben, throwing him up lightly and catching him as Ben giggled.

Peter looked at them and smiled from where he sat on the couch.

"I got you and Jane a gift from Europe." Wade said, putting Ben down and handed him a gray elephant plushie which had a small jewel necklace around it "The elephant is for you, the necklace is for Jane. Go wake her up before dinner alright?"

"Yes! I love it!" Ben said as he hugged the stuffy "I'm gonna put it in my collection!" He said and quickly ran to his room

Wade smiled and then looked at Peter who looked in the direction Ben was going before looking back at Wade.

"Ya know. These bad guys keep telling me I was in so much trouble by messing with them, and I vividly remember saying 'not as much trouble as I would be with my husband for doing something wrong'" Wade chuckled

"We are talking about how you let him watch that show." Peter said somewhat sternly but cracked a smile

"I missed you honey." Wade said and gently tackled Peter into a hug, peppering his face with kisses as Peter giggled

"Stop! It tickles!" Peter laughed

"Not until you say you love me~" Wade said

"Alright alright! I love you!" Peter gasped out as Wade stopped tickling him with the kisses and hugged him "Agh. You got skinnier. That's unhealthy."

"I have an excuse. I've been sweating my ass off getting bad guys and didn't really have many open windows to have a decent meal. You have no excuse to why you've gotten so skinny. Patrol or not you look like you've lost ten pounds!" Wade said

Peter huffed and crossed his arm.

"We are not arguing the second you come back from a mission." Peter said

"I agree. But if I have to force feed you food, I will. Don't say I didn't warn you." Wade said

Soon they both noticed their position, Peter underneath Wade.

"Well this reminds us how we got the kids." Wade remarked with a smirk

Peter rolled his eyes but gave an amused look.

"Uhh..dad..daddy?" A voice said and the adults both looked up to see their two children staring at them

Peter immediately got up and gently pushed Wade off him.

"Erm. Your dad and I was playing twister. We were just too busy to get the game mat.." Peter quickly tried to cover up but the children still looked suspicious

"Honey, I don't think their that stupid. After all. They did get your smartass brain." Wade whispered to Peter who gave him a glare

"I guess that's okay! Let's have dinner!" Ben said excitedly and Jane ran up to Wade and clung onto his knee like a koala

"I guess they got half of your brain too." Peter remarked and walked off to get dinner

"I missed your sassy remarks hon." Wade said as Peter left and then looked down at Jane who was excitedly telling him what happened at school the past few weeks.

Time passed and they were all at the dinner table eating food, then all watching TV, and then heading to bed.

Peter and Wade tucked in their little angels into their bunk bed and walked out, going into their room and closing the door.
