"Do you really think this is going to help?" "Well that's one way to be pessimistic." "I know that if you think it's not going to help it definitely won't. So get your head into it, shoot a few and see what happens." "Oh."
"Okay, no. You need to breathe. When you're shooting the arrow, you want to give it enough power hit the target." Maddie advised.
"And maybe hold the string a different way. Try the Mongolian draw." Lydia suggested causing the other two girls to raised their eyebrows at her.
"What? I read. Try it." The strawberry blonde encouraged and Allison sighed as she repositioned the bow in her hands, taking another arrow and shooting. This time, she hit the tree...but not the target.
"Okay, um Take a second to close your eyes and imagine the arrow going into the target." Maddie tried to reassure the huntress who was obviously not feeling that great about where this was all going.
Allison sighed as she closed her eyes, but something seemed to have caught her attention as she perked up suddenly, her eyes snapping open only for her to see something in the distance, behind Maddie.
"Did you see that?" Allison asked and Maddie turned around, not seeing anything unordinary. "See what?" Lydia questioned, obviously not seeing whatever she was suppose to, either. Maddie then heard a snap, but the noise seemed to miss Allison.
"Okay, I heard something over there so I'm going to check it out." Maddie told the two before slowly approaching the sound of footsteps on the forest floor.
Maddie then grabbed the person, slamming them against the tree, only to sigh in relief when she saw it was Isaac. "Thank fuck, it's only you." The girl sighed in relief as Isaac groaned. That was until Maddie's ears then perked as she heard Lydia yelling for Allison.
"Allison!" The strawberry blonde called, only to spin and see one arrow flying her way. Maddie seemed to be just on time, catching one arrow quickly, only to see another one flying towards her stomach and getting snatched off it's course by the blonde werewolf.
"Oh, my God. Oh, my God, Maddie, Lydia." Allison breathed in guilt and shock. "Jesus motherfucking Christ, Allison!" Maddie breathed out as the huntress shook her head. "I'm sorry!" Allison apologised and Maddie sighed turning to the shell-shocked strawberry blonde.
"Lydia, are you okay?" Maddie questioned and the girl just gulped and nodded.

"Rebekah, now is not a good time." Maddie stated as she flipped throughout of the four open grimours on her kitchen table. She had been trying to find something, anything that could explain or maybe fix what was happening to her three friends.
"Maddie, have you heard from Elijah?" Rebekah asked and Maddie made a face as she checked her phone. "Not since an hour ago. He's probably busy." Maddie sighed as she continued searching for the answers she wanted.
"You're probably right. Nik can be a handful sometimes." Rebekah agreed, although her tone was more worried than agreeable.
"Look, if he's not answering by tomorrow night, then we'll both go down to New Orleans and figure out what the fuck is going on." Maddie reassured causing the blonde to perk up.
"Wait, you're not in New Orleans?" Rebekah questioned and Maddie hummed as she flipped the pages. "No, I'm back in Beacon. Pack problems." The Petrova Hybrid explained, the blonde to snicker.
"So you've got family problems in New Orleans, twin problems in Mystic Falls and Pack problems in Beacon Hills." Rebekah summed up causing the Petrova Hybrid to shrug with a small frown.
"When you state it like that, it makes my life seem a bit sad." The brunette stated causing the blonde to sigh. "Well on the bright side, you have a beautiful baby to look forward too." Rebekah said as Maddie looked up to see an awkward Stiles walk in, causing a wave of panic to flood over her
"Oh yeah, Klaus's child is going to be a handful and a half." Maddie covered up, knowing Rebekah was going to be the slightest bit confused. "Well yeah, but I wasn't-" Rebekah started but was cut off when Maddie sighed.
"Beks. Tomorrow night, okay?" Maddie questioned, changing the topic causing the blonde to sigh and nod. "Fine, tomorrow night." Rebekah huffed before hanging up. Maddie then turned to the spastic teen.
"Hey, sorry. I, uh, I knocked but you didn't answer and the door was open, so.." Stiles stuttered but Maddie just nodded with a tired smile. "It's fine. Isaac's out with Allison anyway and it was getting kinda lonely. Did you want something to drink?" Maddie questioned and Stiles nodded in response. The Petrova Hybrid then walked to the kitchen
"So, what's happening tomorrow night?" The boy questioned, referring to her earlier conversation as he looked over the four open spell-books.
"I'm visiting New Orleans again. While I'm there, I can grab an old grimour of mine and see if there's anything on what's happening to you three." Maddie explained as she entered the room, this time with two glass cups filled with apple juice.
"How long will you be gone?" Stiles then asked and Maddie shrugged. "A day at the most. Oh, I've got something for you, you know, to help you sleep?" The girl stated as she walked back into the kitchen, only to return with a small remedy bottle.
"What is this?" Stiles asked as she handed it to him. "You add two drops to a cup of tea before bed and it'll put you into a dreamless sleep. I figured it might help with the nightmares." Maddie then explained with a small shrug.
"Well, thank you." Stiles genuinely appreciated, and the girl smiled before sighing. "After we've dealt with this, I think it'd be a good idea if we talked. I need to talk to you about some things but I don't want you to worry while you're mind is kinda scattered like this." Maddie stated, not wanting to worry or offend him.
"No, yeah. When this is over?" Stiles assured and Maddie nodded with a relieved smile. "Yeah. Hey, it's late and Isaac's home soon so did you want to stay over? I can set up one of the rooms. And it'll be easier, if the remedy doesn't work and you have more nightmares, then I'll just try a spell." Maddie shrugged and Stiles nodded.
"Yeah, I'll just call my dad." He said in reply causing the girl to nod.
"Okay, cool."
