"Well it's a good thing I came back now, isn't it?" Maddie stated and the four of them turned to the girl. Her usual flawless curls sat mid-back, her big brown eyes were tired and held a little bit of guilt, but she still held herself with her usual confident smile.

Allison and Lydia nearly leaped at the girl causing her to stumble backwards but she hugged the two girls tightly. Maddie's chocolate brown eyes locked with the familiar whiskey brown and she almost melted in guilt. She should've told him, she should tell him. But not just yet.

When Allison and Lydia let go, Maddie shook her head and pulled Stiles into a hug anyway. Not just because she missed him so much this past week, but because she knew they both needed it. Reassurance.

"I'm gone a week and you all get into some sort of fucking magical bind." Maddie stated causing the group to laugh before Scott sighed, looking at his phone.

"We'll figure this all out later. For now... we've gotta get to our lockers, we have history." Scott stated causing Maddie to huff.

After Scott, Stiles and Allison explained to Maddie and Lydia what they were experiencing, the two smirked to each other as they reached the school doors.

"Well, well, look who's no longer the crazy ones." Lydia sighed in an almost teasing satisfaction causing Maddie to laugh. "We're not crazy." Allison interjected And Maddie raised an eyebrow as both she and Lydia turned to the group.

"Right, coz, you know, hallucinations and sleep paralysis is a totally normal thing. Happens to everyone!" Maddie exclaimed sarcastically, only to gain an irritated look from both Allison and Stiles while Scott just shook his head at her.

"We did die and come back to life." Scott stated and Maddie laughed. "Yeah, I did that too. So did every vampire in existence. You're not special." Maddie said with an amused smile only for the Alpha to ignore her. "Well, it's gotta have some side effects, right?" Scott questioned and Maddie sighed before the bell rang.

"We keep an eye on each other. Okay?" Stiles questioned the group who nodded as they exchanged looks. "And you two, stop enjoying this so much." Stiles sighed, pointing at the Petrova Hybrid and the Strawberry Blonde, who both have him innocent looks.

"What?"

Maddie sighed as she took a seat in front of Stiles, leaning back into her chair so that Stiles could hear her if she said anything.

"Good morning, everyone. My name is Mr. Yukimura." The new teacher introduced and Maddie sighed.

"Okay, there's no way I'm going to remember that. He's gonna be known as "Mr" from me." Maddie whispered causing Stiles to grin at her.

"I'll be taking over for your previous history teacher. My family and I moved here three weeks ago. I'm sure by now, you all know my daughter, Kira. Or you might not since she's never actually mentioned anyone from school. Or brought home a friend for that matter." Mr Yukimura stated causing a sigh and a thud to come from the back of the room.

Maddie laughed and looked over her shoulder at the girl, who had pretty much faceplanted into her desk. "Either way, there she is." The teacher ratted out his daughter, even though everyone was already looking at her.

The girl looked up with an embarrassed smile as she realised she had attracted some unwanted attention, which only made Maddie's smile widen. Noticing the girl's grin, Stiles kicked the back of her legs causing her to roll her eyes.

"I'm not laughing at her, I'm laughing because she's relatable." Maddie defended herself before she and the class turned their attention back to the teacher.
