Happening upon an oak tree
Here in the middle of nowhere

How it happens to be here
How I wish to know
High above my head it grows
Higher than any other I know

Happy to see one so far from
Home, yet wondering what the
Hitch might be, what the
Hell might be going on

Here in the middle of nowhere, where the
Hot sun kills off most life and
Hope has no meaning;
Help gains no answer

However, the oak tree stands tall, its leaves
Hanging out in the open, as if
Health was just another phase;
Hell have no meaning to this tree

Hospitality would be miles away, yet shade
Hath found a place to stand,
Has laid its roots where all else
Have already laid its bones to rest;

Hopeful I am, do not get me wrong,
Hacking down this tree would
Honestly be the last thing on my mind, it's been
Hours since I've seen any sign of civilization: Desert
