"Why did they have to be so young? Couldn't you have sacrificed adults? They would know more about their magic, wouldn't they be a better sacrifice? And why only girls?" Isaac then questioned and Maddie laughed. "Well, although there are a few very powerful warlocks, witches are known to be a lot more powerful and ancestrally open with their magic." Maddie explained before continuing.

"As for the age, when you are a teenager and you've just kickstarted your magic, that is when you are the most powerful. The more power you give the ancestors, the more successful the harvest is." Maddie stated and Isaac nodded. Klaus and Rebekah seemed to be fascinated by this information, and so was Sophie. She didn't know much about the Harvest, she only knew why they did it.

"Well, I thought the whole thing was a myth." Sophie stated, causing Maddie and Rebekah to share a look. "Was it?" The female Original questioned and Sophie looked at her just before a phone went off. All eyes snapped to Klaus to reached into his leather jacket and pulled out his phone.

"Marcel! Bit early in the day for you isn't it?" Klaus questioned and Isaac went to talk when Maddie waved a hectic hand at him and placed a finger to her lips as if to tell him not to say a thing. When he gave her a confused look, Maddie pulled out her phone.

Vampires have super hearing. And yes, we can hear through phones as well, so keep your fucking mouth shut, kapeesh?

Maddie passed the phone to the werewolf who scanned over her words before rolling his eyes.

"Rather you than me. All that responsibility seems like such a bore." Klaus lied smoothly and Maddie smirked. "Well this might spice things up, I just heard about a bunch of dead witches out in the Bayou. The kind of damage a werewolf might do, only there was no full moon. I have an informant out there I need to meet and I would love for you to go with me." The group heard Marcel stated and Isaac watched in confusion as Maddie and Rebekah shared a look.

"Dead witches in the bayou. Sounds like less of a problem, and more like a cause for celebration." Klaus stated with a grin as he made eye contact with Sophie. Maddie quietly snickered at this but listened in for Marcel's reply. "Well, something killed them. And may still be out there. And with your blood the only cure for a werewolf bite, I would love for you to accompany me." Marcel said and Klaus looked at Maddie who nodded.

"Well, why not? I haven't been to the Bayou in ages. I'm on my way." Klaus dismissed and Isaac rose an eyebrow at Maddie. "Peace our brother." Marcel signed off before hanging up. That was when Sophie started up.

"You can't go out there now. I need to gather the witches' remains and consecrate them. If I don't get to them before sundown, we'll lose the link to their magic." Sophie stated and Maddie rolled her eyes. "It's not like you can use the magic anyway." Maddie remarked before Hayley walked in. The Petrova Hybrid smiled and got up before hugging the werewolf girl. "Hey, Mads." Hayley greeted before pointing to the blonde haired werewolf.

"Who's the puppy?" Hayley questioned and Isaac made a face. "That's Isaac. His part of my pack from Beacon. Isaac, this is Hayley. She's the one pregnant with that motherfucker's child." Maddie nodded towards Klaus, causing both Hayley and Isaac to snort as the Original Hybrid rolled his eyes before bringing them back to the situation.

"Those witches tried to kill Hayley. I'd prefer for Marcel's informant not to find anything that would lead him back to us, to her, or to...you know, that." Klaus stated, gesturing to Hayley's stomach causing Isaac to raise an eyebrow at the Original Hybrid as Maddie tried to hold back a laugh.

"You are all class." Hayley deadpanned as Rebekah and even Sophie gave him a "wtf" look. Klaus then pointed at the witch. "Stay put. And save the rest of your story for when I return." Klaus ordered before walking out of the room.
