“Honey you need to wake you have chemo in an hour.”
I opened my eyes to find my mum on her knees trying to wake me up.
“Okay mum I’ll be down in 10.”
“Okay sweetie.”
I removed the covers and thought about yesterday, I didn’t expect Miles to do all that to for me.
Looking at my wrist I found that Miles watch was on my wrist and smiled he was so thoughtful.
I changed into some sweat pants and a tank top and over it a sweater I wore my beanie to cover my bold head.
“Miles said he had to go to work but he will be there as soon as he can.”
My mum said once we were in the car.
As on queue my phone started ringing I looked at the I.D and found Miles I smiled before pressing dial.
“Good Morning my Beautiful Girlfriend.” He said
“Good Morning Miles.”
“I’m sorry I had to leave but I had work so I had to go but I’ll make it up too you okay? And I’ll be there in half an hour.” He said
“It’s okay you can’t just put your life on pause for me, and no don’t come go out with your mom it’s okay.”
“But I want to be there.”
“I don’t Miles, spend some time with your mom or your friends you can come see me tomorrow.” I said
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
But the truth was, did I really want him to stay away.
The logical part of my brain answered Yes you don’t want him to see you throw up and all.”
“Are you okay sweetie?”
My mum asked bringing me out of my day dream.
“Yes mum I’m fine.”We walked into the hospital we sat in the waiting room for the nurse that will get me into chemo.
