“What are you doing today honey? Are you going out with Miles again?” Mum asked while folding the laungry
“We are just friends mum I promise and I’m not sure”
“Well I’m going to the mall later wanna join me maybe get you a new bathing suit? The doctor did say that it will be good for you and you used to love swimming” She said
“PreCancer” I mumbled
“What was that?”
“Nothing mum nothing I would love to come I’ll text Miles and see if he wants to join us.”
“Ok, I’m going to go make lunch before we go out ok?”
“Ok.” I said
I looked for my phone and found it laying under my pillow I texted Miles
‘Miles are you busy today?’
The replay was quick
‘Yes actually family night, why did you have plans?’ he replayed
‘No never mind then enjoy your time.’
‘Okay’
‘Okay’ I said
I guess he won’t join us I went into the bathroom and had shower when I was done I wore jeans and my favourite purple sweater and wore a head scarf and then a hat I didn’t feel like I want to wear my wig.
I headed downstairs towards the kitchen and looked at the lunch mum made after finishing my plate I cleaned the dishes and she went to bring the keys.
“Are you all set honey?”
“yes”
“Is Miles coming there or are we driving by his house?” she asked
“No his having Family time he can’t make it”
“Oh I’m sorry honey”
“It’s ok mum, lets go already”
We drove towards the mall and in about ten mintues we were there.
*(About an hour later)*
“Did you get everything you needed?” Mum asked
Which of course I did I had bought a few outfits and gotten a swim suit and few hats.
“Yes mum?”
“Good how about we treat ourselfs to some great tea from your favourite store The TeaShop”
“Sure let’s go”
As mum went to bring our drinks I was sitting on the bench when I saw Miles with some girl I thought he said he was spending time with his family.
I grabbed my phone and texted him.
‘Hey whatcha doing?’
‘I’m at home with my cousins’
“Honey I got your tea.” My mum said standing infront of me
“Thanks mum.”
I wasn’t his girlfriend so I shouldn’t be mad that he lied to me or feel jealous that he is with a girl but why do I feel like crap right now”
“Mum can we go please”
“Sure honey are you feeling ok?”
“No, I just want to go.”
I grabbed my phone and texted him again
‘Turn aroud’
He did and I smiled and waved at him when he looked into my eyes.
“Let’s go home.”
