Chapter 145: The Supposed Plan

Mika POV

I felt sorry for Celine, Kuya Jayden, and Ate Kristen. But I can't let my father rot in jail. I really can't let that happen. Kahit pa magkaiba kami ng kagustuhan ni Kuya.

"I'll come with you," sabi ni Kuya sa akin.

Inalis ko ang kamay niyang nakahawak sa akin. Pasensya na Kuya pero we are not in the same boat when it comes to Dad.

"I won't stop you from doing what you want. Just let me be with you Mikaela," malumanay na sabi ni Kuya sa akin.

Wala na akong nagawa at hinayaan siyang samahan ako papunta sa prosecutor's office. Hindi na ko tumuloy sa pagbisita kay Daddy.

"Wow! I was visited by Galvan siblings," nasorpresang sabi ng prosecutor. "I'm Prosecutor Shaine Mallory Arenas."

"Hindi na ako magpapaligoy-ligoy pa. I want you to dismissed my father's case or even just cancel the arrest warrant," sabi ko sa kanya ng makaupo na kami ni Kuya

Napataas ang kilay niya sa sinabi ko at napasandal sa swivel chair. She even crossed her arms.

"So you have a different stand from your brother," sabi niya saka may kinuhang flashdrive.

Marahil ito ang drive na binigay ni Kuya para madiin si Daddy.

"You want me to discard these evidences from your brother. Is that what you want me to do Ms. Chanel?" seryosong tanong niya nang nakatingin kay Kuya at hindi sa akin.

"Yes."

"Dennica Galvan Murder Case, Sedavia Murder Case, Hannah Kristen Raymundo Attempted Murder Case, and Barbie Lee Attempted Murder Case. All done by your father," napakagat lani na lang ako sa sinabi niya.

I felt guilty for being selfish and for thinking about myself only. I must be really insane. I resented Kuya because of his reckless decision but the truth is I'm the one who is being reckless here.

"But there's no direct proof that he is the one behind Sedavia's case. There's no exact evidence that he did it," kinabahan ako sa sinabi ng prosecutor at napatingin kay Kuya. "Good thing your father admitted his crimes. Hindi na 'ko mahihirapan."

"M-maybe I really c-can't change a-anything now. Since Kuya-"

"It's not because Dr. Charence Angelo gave me the drive. Even before he gave this to me I am investigating your father," napakunot noo ako. "Chairman Lee gave me a lead about this. Finally, this case is on myhand now."

Chairman Lee?

Kung ganoon ito ang plano nila ni France?

Hindi na kami nagtanong pa ni Kuya saka nagpaalam. Ayokong magulo ang isip ni Kuya. I should be brave accepting our situation. Maybe I'm just being emotional. Masyado akong attached kay Daddy.

"Do you want to have dinner with me?" nakangiting alok ni Kuya.

Kahit nakangiti siya ramdam kong nalulungkot siya. Why did I even misunderstand his decisions? He always do things for me. He was the best Kuya yet I failed being a good sister to her. I'm afraid that I might make another mistake again. I hate seeing him sad.

"I'm sorry Kuya," napayuko ako pagkatapos humingi ng tawad sa kanya.

I feel that I have to.

"Why are you sorry? I'm asking my little sister to have dinner with me. It is only answerable by yes or no but she's telling she's sorry," napapailing siya't kunwaring hindi niya naintindihan.

"Then I have to say yes."

Seb POV

Hanggang sa paglabas ni Vaughn ay ako pa rin ang kasama niya. Hindi na napadalaw sina Mika at Kristell. Nakatanggap na lang si Vaughn ng message mula kay Kristell na hindi siya makakasama sa paglabas ni Vaughn.
