Shame!

Oluebube's voice reverberated in the house as she teased Chukwuemeka who was rolling on the floor for some reason.

"Ọ gịnị n'eme ya? What is wrong with him?"

Obi enquired as she stepped into the living room having caught sight of what was happening.

"He's crying because ifenna didn't take him with her to the saloon. She went to wash her hair and Chukwuebuka opted to follow him, there's no way she could go with the two of them. That's why this old man is here crying like a baby" ifenna turned the boy and made a face with her tongue out

"ntoo gị!!".

This only aggravated more tears from Chukwuemeka before his mother scolded him. "ozugo nụ! Emeka stop crying, don't worry your daddy will take you out when he comes back"

The little boy wiped his tears then turned to Oluebube "When daddy buys something for I will not give you anything, I will not give aunty ifenna too"

Oluebube was not hazed by the boy's threat, she even approbated the idea. "I chọrọ I nwa m? I'll catch you now"
The little boy thought of the imminent danger associated with being on his aunt's bad side and withdrew from the two women

Obi turned to her sister with an amused face "Stop disturbing my children biko, I didn't treat you that way. I can vividly remember the number of times you would yell my name in the compound just for me to wipe your butt. Sister! Sister bịa kwasia m ike!" Obi teased mimicking a little girl's voice.

Oluebube laughed so hard after picturing her self in such state." I'm just happy you've grown up. Do you remember the time Oluebube attached a sanitary pad in her pant because she saw me do it and it fell off in her class. I was so embarrassed when her teacher called me to school, she was eight years old then. The woman was so concerned she thought Oluebube had started mentruating at that age." Oluebube almost choked while she laughed

" Or even when you had a running stomach that made you defecate in your class. "

" Sister it was because of that wine uncle Benjamin gave us that morning, What of that day that ifenna beat a boy up in church because she was intoxicated!"

Obi chortled recalling the incident" Benjamin is too soft when it comes to children. He didn't know how to say no to you and your sister and I had to become the bad parent for you two to stay out of trouble. Sometimes I get worried with the way he spoils our sons"
