I grasped and said out loud to myself

"Man, I forget about work! Now, my boss is going to have my head for sure!"

He said while, having a look of confuse open his face

"So, it's to the mall! But, we have to change first!"

Again, I forgot that I was still in my soccer clothes. I was so warm in the car of course I'm going to forget!

He continued to say while, taking a short glace at me "Do you have other clothes?"

I said with a frown on my face

"Yeah, I do have a pair to change in! What are we doing?"

He said with a proud smile on his face "We're going to my house to change!"

I was shocked, does he really want me to go over to house just to change? I shook my head and said with a hint of serious in my voice

"Dexter, you don't have to I mean I can-"

"So, you want to go to the mall soak-en wet?"

I just blurted out

"Yeah!"

He said with a pout on his face "But, I'm really soak-en wet, Gwen!"

I just leaned back in my sit and said still arguing with him

"I need to go to the mall wet because, its a perfect excuse for me being late and still get my pay!"

He said with a sigh of defeat in his voice

"Fine, but do you mind telling me where do you work at?"

I sighed and said softly

"I work at the bookstore...called Circus Session!" 

I was bracing myself for him to laugh again but, instead he said

"Why do you have a job?"

I had to think about it myself! Why do I have a job? The money is okay and I get to be around what I cherish the most about! I sighed and said

"I don't even know why! Besides the pay and being around what I like!"

Dexter just nodded his head and said "Is the pay really good?"

I shook my head and said

"No, Taco Bell get pays better than what I do at the bookstore!"

Dexter couldn't help but, to laugh again! I sighed and said while, a smile appear on my face

"Do you work?"

 He was laughing a bit more while, shook his head no! He said while, trying to clam down

"No, way in hell! A job, sports, and school equals no time for myself!"

I nodded my head while, saying

"Yup, that's true! I don't know what to do! Do you think I should continue working there or not!"

He said while, looking for a parking space

"I think you need more time to yourself and hang out with your friends and everything! I say quit and have fun"

I sighed and said

"You sound just like my friend, Dexter! She wants me to quit too!"

Dexter said while, parking near the entrances to the mall

"I agree with her. How about this if you quit we'll hang out more! Fair!"

I had to think about this too...He wants me to hang out with him more and everything! I sighed and said

"Let me think about it when, I get to my job and then, I'll tell you! Fair!!"

He seems to be thinking about it then, he nodded his head. We shook hands on it and I got opened of the car when, he up the unlock button. Before, I can start walking away he said

"Do you want me to come with you, Gwen?" I shook my head and said

"No, I'll be fine! I get off at 8:45. So, I'll meet you at the food count. Is that okay with you?"

He said while, going in his trunk dugging in there for something

"Yeah, that sounds fine! I'll see you soon and good luck!"

I smiled at him and said" Thanks, I'm going to need it!"

With that, I started walking into the mall to my personal hell!!
