Twenty two - Her Heart breaker!

Start from the beginning

He noticed this and removed his coat and covered me. This made him left only with his white t-shirt hugging his abs and broad shoulder blades. He ran his hand through his hair made him look so good. Wait! Pull yourself together, girl!

He caught me starring at him. He just gave me light smirk decided not to make fun of me. I turned my head away but he could see my cheeks getting darker shade.

"You can go up, Shakshi. I will bring your food. Its cold out here."

"Its okay. I'm fine!"

We ate our food in silence. He checked me now and then if I needed something in case. Why is he caring me this much which made it difficult for me not to love him?

After that, he paid the bill. He also bought a biscuit packet, and a water bottle. We took the elevator. There was no one other than us in it.

He took his kerchief and wiped something from the corner of my mouth. He didn't miss the opportunity to brush my lips with his fingertips. I ducked his hand.

"What?" he frowned like he was an innocent one.

"I can do that myself." I rolled my eyes.

When we entered the room. Ari was still lying peacefully in her bed. The light was dimmed and the only sound I heard was beeping from her monitor.

"Shakshi. Mmm... You can sleep at my place. Its not far from the hospital. You can freshen up there and I will bring you here tomorrow morning before she wake." he tried.

"No. I will stay here."

"Shakshi... Please."

"Please don't force me in this." he sighed at my stubbourness.

"Okay then. I will stay here with you."

"No. Just go home. I can handle this. Its just one visitor's cot in here."

"No issues. We can sleep together..... If you don't mind." he hesitated.

"Actually I mind. Go home. You are tired too. Please."

He sighed.

"Call me if you need anything. I will be back in the morning." he said after knowing that I will not agree to his request.

I really don't mind sleeping with him, cuddling him or hugging him. But not here. I don't want someone in this hospital seeing us. It will be a disrespect for him.

He went out closing the door behind him. And I already started to miss him. After confirming everything was fine with Ari. I crept into the blanket and snuggling into the pillow he got for me. I saw the biscuit and water bottle which he had placed on the table. It is been a long time since someone take care of me.

Sleep enveloped my eyes. But something was nagging me. His absence.

I took my phone. I typed him. 'Thank you', but it seemed so formal so I deleted it, I again typed 'I miss you', but its so sudden, I deleted it, then 'I am waiting for you', I deleted it again.
With a huff, I just sent him, 'Reached home?'. I can't come up with a good one. I waited for his reply but to my surprise he call me.

"Hey baby! You okay there?" there was so much concern in his voice.

"Mmm... I just... I... " I miss him but I don't have a muscle to confess it to him.

"Miss me?"

What? Oh no! I scoffed.

"I miss you too!" he continued without waiting for my response.

"Have you reached home?" I push the topic.

"Just now. Then I got your text."

I just hummed.
