Chapter 39

He Must Really Really Like You

Shay's P.O.V

I knew Michael needed to talk to Ashton so when he left me with Luke & Calum, I understood, but I didn't know what to expect sitting with these two though. I barely knew them & I had no idea what they'd want to talk about.

"So do you really like Michael?" Calum laughed. "Like do you really like the dork?"

"I do, yea. Is that okay?"

"I guess so." Luke said. "Why the hell would you like Michael though?"

I just bit my lip & smiled because there were so many reasons. "Uhm, I don't know. I mean he's attractive but he's so chill & like we got along really well. We'd have cereal for dinner like five nights a week & neither of us minded, we could sit & talk for hours about nothing, he always makes me laugh & he makes me feel special. I don't know, I can't explain it all. I just do."

"You're blushing, Shay!"  Calum exclaimed. "This is so cute! So what would you guys do all the time? Like what was there to do where you lived?"

"Nothing. I mean we lived in a forest basically. But lots of places to explore, like trails & paths that Michael & I would take. We'd just spend the afternoon wandering around through the trees or sitting over the lake."

"Michael in nature?" Luke almost choked in his drink. I just nodded & smiled. "Damn, he must really like you then because Michael Clifford doesn't do nature." & that just made me smile even more.

"Well this Michael does nature. We spent a lot of time like doing nothing though, just like sleeping all day & hanging around. It was low-key."

"That's adorable. Michael loves to cuddle so I'm sure you did that a lot too." Calum smirked.

"Yea, I guess we did."

"How long are you here for?" Luke asked me.

"I don't know yet. I mean I have some things in NYC for me but like nothing urgent. I mean just for a little bit but I don't know if it'll be a week or a couple."

"Cool. Well you're welcome as long as you wish." Calum told me. I appreciated that. "Just no loud sex, I like my sleep, okay?"

"Wow you guys are forward, huh? Uhm, there are definitely no worries about that. Promise."

"You mean you haven't?" Luke laughed. "That's gotta be a joke."

"Nope, not yet."

Calum just smiled. "Wow, then he must really really like you. & he lived in your house for a month too?! Wow, it is a new Michael. Then you can definitely stay as long as you want. Anyway, we took bets if you'd come here with him or not."

"Really?"

"Yep." Luke started. "We saw those NYC pictures & Ash said you were dating him so like we took bets on if you'd come or not. I said you wouldn't, Michael & Calum said you would so I guess I lost."

"Sorry about that then, but yea, here I am."

We carried on small talk for awhile until the door opened & out walked a happy Michael & Ashton.

Michael sat back next to me on the couch & wrapped his arm around me.

"We're they okay?" He asked. "I hope they didn't say anything stupid."

"Exactly as you described them. They were fine." I said, in regards to Calum & Luke.

"Good."
