The Aftermath

Kara: Baby girl, why you look so sad? The tears are in your eyes.

Lena: *sniffles a bit before taking a deep breath to compose herself

Kara: Come to me.

*wipes the tears that fall down Lena's cheek

Talk to me. Is something or someone bothering you?

Lena: I've been waiting and been patient. But I can't fake it no more.

Tell me, who did I kiss? Kara Danvers or Supergirl?

Kara: You knew?! *wide eyes

Lena: Before Lex died, he exposed your little secret.

Kara is speechless.

Lena: Say something I'm giving up on you.

Kara: I'm sorry.

Lena: Do you know what I hate the most? Liar.

We all have secrets, but we don't lie to the people we love.

Why didn't you tell me?

Kara: I was going to tell you the truth.

Lena: When?

You've been keeping your real identity as a secret for more than three years.

Do I have to wait for another year?

I'm sorry you feel like you couldn't tell me.

But maybe it's a sign that you don't trust me enough.

Kara: I'm afraid of losing you.

Lena: Are you afraid that I will be mad or hold a grudge against you?

Then you don't know me at all.

Nothing you confess could make me love you less.

Kara: *cries

Lena: For the past month, I've been throwing baits. 

Hoping you would come clean.

I give you a chance to tell me but you always change the subject.

Kara: I did it to protect you.

Lena: *scoffs

Kara: I should've been honest with you from the start. my love for you is real.

Every night, I think about the best scenario to reveal my identity and lift the guilt off

my chest. I hate lying to you.

Kara Zor-el, Supergirl, Kara Danvers.

Does it matter ? Because every version of me is in love with you.

Lena: Could I believe you?

When someone betrays us it's normal that we question every single thing that has

been said to us. Every single kiss, hug, intimate touch. Are those real?

It looks like Lena is ready to throw the bottle at Kara's head knowing it won't hurt her which frustrating her more.

Lena: Last week. I showed up to game night and stayed silent.

Giving you a chance to tell me yourself.

Do you know how hard it is to fake a smile?

To show everyone that I wasn't bothered by my friends' deception.

I feel like the biggest fool that ever walks on earth.

Kara: Please, you are a genius.

You successfully break the Harun-el codes and cure cancer.

Lena: Yet I don't know who Supergirl is. *dry laugh

To be honest, there's a little voice in my head telling me the similarity you two have.

But I choose to ignore it.

Kara: *walks toward lena

Lena: Don't get any closer!

Kara: Forgive me. Let me fix this. All I need is one more chance.

This time I'm gonna do my best to make it right.

Lena: You don't get another chance. Not today.

Baby, I deserve better.

We don't stand a chance, it's sad but it's true.

Kara: No.

We've been through worse scrapes in this together.

Don't give up on me. I will be a better man.

Lena: You don't get it, do you?

I never let my guard down but I did with you.

It only led me to betrayal. I let you in and you lied to me.

I don't know if I'll ever recover from it.

Only god knows if I can trust anyone ever again.

Kara: But maybe someday you can forgive me? *voice cracks again
Lena: Yeah maybe someday.

Kara: Goodbye. I love...

Lena: *closes the door

Lena can't fight the tears any longer. She screams but no sound comes out.

Her friends whom she calls family have been lying to her from the start.

They mock, humiliate and betray the poor Luthor.

Lena: Lex is right. The joke has always been on me.

I am left with no one and nothing. I am worthless.

Lena throws the bottle. It hits the photo frame of her and Kara.

Lena: A super and a Luthor. *rolls her eyes

It was good while it lasted.
