"Being nine months pregnant is horrible." Lena unbuckled her seatbelt and sighed in relief. "Are you gonna come out anytime soon, Nugget?"

"Don't pressure them. They're not ready yet." Kara gently places her hand on Lena's stomach.

"They better pay the rent." Lena joked.

Honk honk Honk

"Oops. Miss the green light." Kara hit the pedal and drove. "Put your seatbelt on, please."

"Nope. It's itchy. Besides, our destination is nearby."

"But"

"Dear, watchout!" Lena warned.

In a blink of an eye, a truck came from the opposite direction, collided with three other cars before hitting the right side of their car. The car swayed to left and right; not stopping until it hit against a street light.

"Lena?" Kara called but no response.

There was a big hole on the windshield and Kara's scream pierced the silence of the night. Lena's body was laying limp on the asphalt. She tried to open the door but it was jammed.

"Arghhh."

Kara was fighting to stay awake but darkness quickly consumed her.

...

"Ma'am. Stay with me. We're going to the hospital." A man in uniform lift her body and put her on the stretcher.

"Please. My wife. Baby nugget. Save them."
