Watashi No Hi (My Days)

Chapter 18:Trust maybe?

As Shane crys in my arms, I keep a eye open for anyone watching us. lately, it has been like someone has me watching my every move. I have no idea who it is but I have a pretty good understanding of what they want.

It seems that Shane has stopped crying, I pull away but he tightly hugs me again.

"Huh? Shane let go."

"No, I don't want you to see my face right now..."

Oh, I guess it's probably because he cried.

"No, let me see your face."

I try pushing him but he hesitates in letting me seeing him.

I try pulling hard and I see that he's not holding back anymore.

I slowly push him back to see his face. His eyes are a bit red and so are his cheeks.

"Shay, Are my eyes red?"

"Oh umm mhm."

He sighs and looks worried. Maybe he doesn't want the others knowing.

"Mm wait here! ill go get some hot water!"

"Huh? wait there isn't-"

I begin to run to go get some warm water from the girls bathroom.

I get my handkerchief for my pocket and I dampen it with warm water.

I begin to make my way to Shane but when I get there he's not there anymore.

"Huh? Shane? Shane!"

I get worried and then I get poked on shoulder and I turn around.

"Boo!"

"AHHHHHH!"

Shane scares me and I slap him in the face by accident.

"Ow! what with you!?"

"With me?! what's wrong with you?!"

We stare intensely at each other but then I begin to see the redness spreading to his cheek I slapped.

I bend down to which Shane has fallen.

I take his face I press the still warm clothe on his eyes then cheek.

"I-I'm sorry..."

"Mm, I'm sorry too..."

He looks like a child who is being dryed from being in the rain to much, but I guess that proves how much he trustees me, or well I hope so.

When I'm done damping his face. we look at each other for a while.

But then I don't feel Shane's eyes alone on me anymore, I can feel someone else's eyes staring sharp blades at me. I soonly begin to feel uncomfortable about the idea that I tremble with fear.
