Liam and Haley- The moment of truth

I walked into the break room at work and took the empty seat next to Liam. Who I just learnt was quitting.

"Hey Liam, what's new?" I didn't want to be to forward and question him on why he was quitting.

"Can I be honest with you?" he said uncrossing his arms looking away from the crappy television they had set up back here.

"What do you mean?"

"The things I noticed about you. Like you cannot act and everyone believes you, but I can tell. When you get quiet you need a friend and someone to listen and talk to, but when you are loud you are happy and just want to joke around." he said turning back to the T.V.

"Why did you notice that?" I asked confused, "Who else do you notice like that?" I add hoping that he says that it is just me.

"I don't know, it's only you. The more I try to figure it out, the more I think of other things about you." he simply closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair, "Your smile just makes me want to smile. All I have to do is think it and I can feel the smile tugging at my lips."

The butterflies in my stomach were going crazy at this point, "Really?"

"Yeah, the first time you truly smiled at me I felt my legs turn into jello." he smiled lightly, "My friends noticed the change in me, it happened right after we met. They said that I would zone out and was happier too. They blame you for it because it started the day I told them about you." he sighed and finally looked at me, "They also think that I am so gone for you. Apparently they thought we were dating and only thought to tell me this recently."

"How did you explain that?" I laughed at him.

"They refused to believe me. Said I was too far gone to have not said anything."

"Are you?" I asked quietly while leaning in closer.

"I knew all along that I have feelings for you. Just you always have had that boyfriend." he said closing in only to pull away quickly, "How is he?"

"I have not had a boyfriend the whole time I have worked here." I said taking his hand.

"Oh. If that is the case." He leaned over and kissed me on my cheek, "Would you to go to dinner with me this Friday?"

"It's a date." I smiled before I went back to work excited for my date.
