The Jones family and the Van dijk family have been family friends for sophie's entire life.
Growing up ruel van dijk had always hung out with Sophie jones' brother, Luke.
Luke and Ruel very quickly became best friends which left Sophie to hang with Coco even though she was older and she only finally started to relate and become closer to her.
For years on end Sophie had the biggest crush on ruel but got over it a couple of years ago. Seeing a boy every single day really lets you think about them and that's what really let Sophie form the crush on Ruel, but now she's older and she's formed her own life.
