"Perhaps we approached this situation all wrong." I admit as I look over at my husband. Our bedroom had cleared out after Drax's rant,
"Did we? Not like my son doesn't hate me or anything." Damien replies angerlier as he lays his tunic on the bed.
"Damien, he doesn't hate you. But you did say maybe we should put down his sister." I mention as I sit at the vanity brushing my hair
"Well of course I didn't mean kill her, that's my little girl. But we have no idea what types of messages or motives that Rose put into her head. You saw what she did to the room and she was barely even that mad. I'm just saying that-"
"I know what you meant but it's the way you said it. Why don't we just go past Olivia and Drax's room and apologize. That can't hurt right?" I wager and he smiles lightly as he comes over and rests his hands on my shoulders,
"No, it can't. Come on" he replies as he kisses the top of my head. We both head out the room. I decided that we should visit our daughter first since she is the one we hurt the most. I knocked lightly on her door and waited for her to answer. We both exchanged looks when it took her a bit longer than expected. Had she stepped out? Finally the door opened, I expected her to wait by the door and greet us or maybe say something rude but she just retreated back to her bed. I stepped in the room first,
"Olivia sweety, your father and I just wanted to apologize. I'm sure you didn't know that Rose was a conniving manipulative woman. We didn't respond the way we should have and we want you to know that we are here for you if you want to talk about it." I replied as she barely even turned her head in my direction. She was sitting on her bed with a grimoire open on her lap. I expected the cold shoulder but nothing like this, she didn't even look our way. Damien cleared his throat and Olivia slowly met his gaze with a bored expression on her face,
"Olivia, you can at least acknowledge your mother and I here. We're trying to apologize."
"Yeah I heard it. Now if that's all.." she replies as she motions towards the door.
"Olivia," Damien started a little shocked
"Darling you can't speak to your parents that way." I chip in to try and ease the tension between the three of us. Olivia looked up at me for a good moment and I could feel the anger radiating off her body. She sighed heavily while shutting her eyes then she abruptly opened them,
"You two may have clothed me, bathed me and fed me but you don't deserve to call yourselves parents."
"I beg your pardon?" I question
"You two stand infront of me calling yourselves my parents when just a minute ago one of you threated to fucking kill me! A child that you both created! And the fact that you would even think that I would ever harm you, or my brother or anyone else in our family. Just shows how far you are from parents!" Olivia yelled as she rose from the bed. I watched the book thump to the ground and winced at the sound. I felt like I had just received a hard blow to the gut. I never imagined that she would hear that. Nor did I want her to think that I wanted her dead.
"Honey-"
"You people don't know a single thing about me."
"Now that's not true, we both know you very well. Now I know we have made some mistakes-"
"Some mistakes?!" She scoffs
"Neither of you can give me a shred of trust."
"We trust you" I argue
"Stop lying to me! You trust me, yet you're standing there threatening to put me down. And do you know what you said about that mom? Absolutely nothing! Out of everyone in that entire room I expected you to have my back. You were just like me! You were more powerful than anyone in this house, people were afraid of you and some still are but nobody threatened to kill you or put you down. But the moment I become more powerful than you I deserve to die?!"
