"Do you think they'll notice that were gone?" I question as the three of us walk through the woods. Drax comments,
"Nothing more suspicious than all of us disappearing from the castle at once."
"Of course they're going to notice. And yes we may get caught and get grounded again but who cares." Gaia smiled mischievously
"Um, I care."
"Yeah me too."
"Look, this plan was a long shot anyway. It's you guys 16th birthday. Let loose for once and have fun. We can worry about our parents after the party." She and I laugh,
"Since when are you the one encouraging us to do bad things?"
"I don't know. But I'm digging this new role." She smirks as she heads off towards the bustling music. The closer we got, the louder the music was. I could see groups of kids from school and even some that I have never seen before. There was a large bonfire in the middle where kids were drinking and dancing. I instantly spotted Adam and smiled before I made my way over there. I felt a hand grab me and turned to see Drax sweating bullets,
"What's wrong?" I question
"Its just...do you want to grab an ale with me?" I narrowed my eyes at him
"Drax,"
"Ok ok. I'm nervous. This will be my first time being out in public with Julianna. Everyone could judge us or-"
"Forget what they think. Julianna makes you happy, and that's all that matters."
"How do you think mom and dad would feel if they heard about this. Me, the oldest-"
"Not the oldest" I cut in.
"Dating a human girl. They would probably feel ashamed or-"
"Drax, take a deep breath," I instruct, and he breathes in and out.
"Mom and dad would not feel ashamed about you being with someone who makes you happy. Regardless if these snotty townsfolk agree with it or not, mom and dad want you to be happy, and it doesn't matter if they are a werewolf, vampire, witch or whatever you can think of. Now go sweep her off her feet." I encourage as I give him a slight push. He smiles before spotting her and walking off.
"Look at you giving love advice." Adam chuckles from behind my back. I turn around as he wraps an arm around my waist and gives me a light kiss.
"I know. I should get paid for my words of encouragement." Adam laughs while handing me a horn of ale. I take it and take a swig of it.
"Wow, that is strong."
"Yeah, Peter got it from that tavern we got kicked out of." he laughs as he wraps his arm around me.
"Care to dance before you get me drunk?" He takes the horn from me and then grabs my hands to spin me. I twirl right into his arms,
"My pleasure birthday girl."
