I stood in my office and twirled my wife's necklace in my hand. I missed waking up to her face every morning, her laugh that flowed through my halls and the way she insisted to cook her own breakfast every morning. My favorite part of our day was standing the kitchen, flour everywhere, making pancakes for us and our two children. My body yearned for its mate and I hated not knowing where she is. I also hated that I was completely powerless regarding my own daughter. This could be her final moments on this land and I wouldn't even get the chance to say goodbye. A knock startled me and I quickly put her jewelry back in her jewelry box.

"Your Highness, Court is about to start," A staff member informs me. I nod to her and she promptly leaves out. I fixed my tie in Addeline's vanity mirror and then head out my chambers to our grand hall. When I came in, half the town was present along with my brother and his wife. I took a seat at the throne and tried not to notice the pins in my heart from seeing my wife's throne chair empty along with my two children.

"Court is now in session." The guard announces.

"Your Highness," The crowd proclaims before they bow at the three of us. I just wanted to get this over with. One of the town members stepped forward,

"Your Highness, the town people of Nothar is fed up with the destruction of our village due to your child, Olivia." I scrunch my eyebrows,

"Eight hunters were killed near the east side of our town lines just a few days after the court case. When will the killing end!" The crowd rallied behind him. Eight hunters killed near the east side of the village? Could that be where they are hiding?

"That's impossible. Princess Olivia is unwell and hasn't been home in a month." Jace argues completely ruining their argument.

"We know it was a cursed attack! The claw marks on the ground confirm it. It has to be the Princess."

"The royal family tells no lies, Princess Olivia is unwell and hasn't been well since her departure from the council courtroom." One of our council members answers and the crowd starts mumbling.

"It couldn't have been the wolves...right?"

"They went extinct." The townspeople begin to argue with each other of another possible cause. I felt myself filling with something I haven't felt since my family was gone; hope. There was a chance, a small but hopeful chance that they were in the east. I zoned out the rest of the day until Court finally ended. I headed out the Hall and went straight to my chambers. I hadn't even noticed I was being followed until my brother spoke,

"What's going in that head?" Jace asks

"It's just...what if that was them? The dead hunters could be how we find them." I smile as I turn to look at him. Jace did not share my enthusiasm,

"You know the townspeople blame any death on the twins. It could have just been from another traveling wolf pack or a plain ole vampire. Do you really want to get your hopes up about it?"

"For once, I have something that gives me hope. I want to investigate if it truly is." I reply as I go to grab some gowns for Addeline, blankets and whatever spare blood I could see. I grabbed the bag and lugged it out the door, I may need a bigger bag to carry the other clothes for the kids.

"Alright brother, we'll go with you." Jace smiles while helping me go to Drax room.

I turned uncomfortable on the cold stone ground. I missed being in my bed with my husband. I hated staying in this damn cave but if being back home meant putting any of them in danger then in this cave I will stay. I closed my eyes tightly hoping to force sleep on myself but alas it was no use.

"Uh, guys." Gaia cries out which wakes me up. I open my eyes and sit up,

"What is it, Gaia?" I question but she didn't have to answer me. I could hear the sound of bones snapping and rushed over to Olivia. Is this a good thing? I looked her over and noticed the yellowish tint in her skin was fading. Her bones were not snapping they were popping back into place. Her bruise on her shoulders faded as her arm popped back into place. I sighed in shock and relief.

"Drax get up!" Gaia calls out and he finally woke up. He rubbed his eyes tiredly but Olivia's second fracture cracked from behind healed jolted him alert. He crawled over to the three of us,

"It's happening?" he smiles. The sound of approaching footsteps made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Instantly I start growling loudly along with the kids. Someone was entering the cave so we all turned around to face and attack whoever that could be. As the figures step closer into our view light. I saw my husband, Jace and Alina all walk in the cave with bags strapped to their back with their hands raised high in the air.

"It's so good to see you again." Damien gushes and I felt my heart hammers in my chest. I had missed him so much but my curse was going to attack if they came closer. Thankfully they stopped when they were a few feet away from us.

"We just brought you guys some clothes, food, and some blankets," Jace comments as he reaches for his bag behind his back.

"Oh Gaia, I've missed you," Alina comments while staring directly at her. I looked over at Gaia who visibly looked like she missed her parents.

"We can leave if you guys aren't ready, but we just had to find you," Damien adds as he sets his bag down. I didn't want him to leave or any of them. I also didn't want my cursed to hurt anyone. But my heart broke all over again at the idea of him being far away all over again. Alina pulled her bag from off her shoulder but paused and stared directly behind me. I turned around to see Olivia sitting up scratching her head. My cursed disappeared as I wrapped my arms around my baby.

"I've never been so afraid in my entire life, the thought of losing you...forever," I cried as I held her face in my hands. She looked at me and I kissed her cheeks.

"Scares me more than anything." I finished as I held her tightly. I felt another set of arms on my side and saw it was Drax. I heard the sound of light footsteps and then a full-on sprint across the cave and knew it was my husband. I pulled away and turned to see him standing in front of the three of us, he looked directly at her as if she was a magical star. Slowly he lowered to the cave floor with us.

"It's so good to see you again, sunshine," Damien replies with tears welled in his eyes. Olivia's green eyes scanned her fathers before she leaped into his arms. He held her tight as she wept.
