I arrived at the hospital and checked in then went to my office to place all my things down and went onto my laptop to check who I was gonna have a session with first

I got my notebook , pen and phone then was on my way to his room where I saw him playing with his guitar again while humming

I knocked on the door

" come in " he mumbled

I opened it and gave him a little smile

" hello ethan , I'm going to be giving you your first session here and I will until they decide for you to leave the hospital. My name is Scarlet Rosa " I told him sitting down on the chair that was opposite him while he sat on the bed

" hi " he mumbled

" so tell me ethan , what's up ? Why are you in the hospital " I asked him taking my notebook and pen getting ready to write things down

He shook his head and looked down signalling he didn't wanna talk about it . Before he looked down I could see tears building up in his eyes but he blinked them away

I put my hand on his shoulder while the other one lifted up his chin making his eyes meet mine

" don't worry , I'm here to help you " I told him smiling

" how do I know if you're here to help or if you're like the rest " he told me closing his eyes from hurt

" because I want to see you achieve in life and become better " I told him

" that's not what they're saying " he mumbled

" who " I asked confused

" the voices in my head " he whispered

My breathing hitched

" ignore the voices in your head and focus on me " I told him

" no , I'm going to listen to them . They're always right and always will be " he told me sternly

" ethan please , don't listen to them . Listen to me and my voice . Focus on me " I told him placing my hand on his cheek

He quickly removed my hand from his cheek and started getting angry

" I said NO " he shouted making me flinch

I started backing away and he realised what he did and put his hands through his hair frustrated

" I'm so sorry " he said tears starting to cloud his eyes

I walked up to him and sat down right next to him placing my hand on his shoulder

" hey don't worry about it . I'm here to help you and be there for you " I told him in a soft tone

His breathing started to relax and he was normal again

He moved away while shaking his head

" scarlet please for your own safety , don't help me . I can't control myself " he told me

I grew soft and shook my head

" ethan I don't care if you can't control yourself because if you want to get better you'd find the will to try and ignore the voices in your head . I know you're not like this even though I've hardly known you for a day . You look so innocent and calm . You're always singing and playing the guitar , your voice is so so good " I told him

" scarlet -"

" no ethan . I'm going to help you whether the voices in your head like it or not because I believe in you , I believe in your future and I wanna make your future happen " I said

I looked at my watch and saw that it was the end of our session

" ethan I have to go it's the end of our session , Our next session is tomorrow " I told him getting up and getting my notebook and pen

" bye ethan " I told him giving him a small smile

" bye scarlet " he told me smiling a tiny bit

His smile was adorable, he should smile more often
