I sat on the rooftop in the dead of night, looking over whatever was in my sight.
"(Name), aren't you cold up here?" Hinami asked.
"No, come sit with me." I said, patting the seat next to me.
She hesitated but eventually came up and sat next to me.
"You've been reading Sen Takitsuki's books, right?"
"Yeah, I have."
"Have you ever come across the word Karma?"
"No, I haven't. But what does it mean though?"
"Basically, You get what you recieve. You kill someone precious to me, I'll do the same to you. Or even kill your family."
"Interesting concept.." Hinami nodded with a bit of understanding.
"Seems fair, but sometimes the punishment that is to be received is given to someone close to them. Like a family member or a friend."
"Oh.."
"Just like Kaneki has Rize's Kagune, with that, he recieves all of her problems. The trauma, the torture, everything."
"B- but it wasn't his fault."
"I know, but do you think the world cares? Huh? It's messed up. Just messed up." I jumped off the roof, "Don't leave unless you fully understand everything I've just said to you."
"Karma.." Hinami thought, "is a bitch."
"Language!"
"S- sorry."
I sighed, "You got a point there, though. You can come down now."
"No, I'll stay up a bit longer, still contemplating."
"Okay, don't let Karma bite." I left her out on the roof.
