JOE'S POV:
Abigail didn't let go of my hand the whole way though the journey to Chai and Alice's house. It felt really good to know that she trusts me and wants me to comfort her. Anyway, we've arrived and now it's about 11:45pm and we are sat in the kitchen waiting for Alice to finish in the shower.
Abigail is curled up in my chest, still traumatised. I have my arms around her and Chai is making her some coffee.
***
"Chummy! OMG, chummy chummy chummy, joe! What happened, tell me everything!!" Alice says walking into the kitchen in her bath robe.
Abigail gets up from my arm and gives Alice a huge hug, I can hear her sobbing on Alice's shoulder.
"I think I can guess!" Alice says. "Let's get your bed ready in the front room." And with that me and Abigail snuggle up on the sofa and fall asleep in the pastel coloured duvet.
