When The Blossom Falls

Chapter 1

Cheryl's POV

"Shut up you old hag!" I hear my mother yell, her yelling being the cause of me jumping up in bed frightened before I realised it was just another one of those days. And by one of those days I mean everyday. She's shouting at my Nana again, as usual. And all I could do is prepare for my turn because I know it'll happen as soon I step foot downstairs.

I groan as I hear my phone buzz beside me and reach out to grab it before looking down at it, an immediate smile formed as I looked down at the name.

From:Toni ♥😇

Morning Cher, I'll come pick you up like we agreed yesterday, I'll be there at 8:30. Hope you slept well, see you soon 😊 💕.

I grinned like an idiot down at my phone as I typed out a reply..

To: Toni ♥😇 

Morning TT ♥. I slept like a baby, thanks for asking 😄. I can't wait..I'll be waiting. Also..pick me up with your car please :).

From: Toni ♥😇

God you really are a baby wtf. Fine I'll come in that beat down trash that you call a 'car'🙄.

To: Toni ♥😇

Hope you choke on your cereal bitch. Lots of love ♥ :).

I chuckled to myself as I looked at the time on my phone-8:01. Fuck. I need to get ready, it takes time to look this good, especially since I'm looking to impress a certain someone today.

35 minutes later:

I scrambled around for my skirt when I heard my phone buzz and I picked it up, before opening the text

Wtf is taking you so long Blossom? Is it the whore again?

Icouldn't help but laugh at Toni calling my mother a whore because for one, she's not wrong and two, she hates Penelope just as much as I do.

Nope..you know it takes long to look as good as I do babes.

Does it? You really don't need makeup Cher..you're beautiful. Now please..hurry tf up!!

To: Toni ♥😇

Aww thanks TT..and I'll be down in a sec, god are you on your period or something? P.S. Don't reply, I actually need to get ready :).

I couldn't help but blush at Toni calling me beautiful, it definitely isn't the first time but each time, my cheeks turn bright red, which is definitely something I can't control. I finally find my leather skirt and put it on before running downstairs and to my surprise, my mother is nowhere to be seen which is weird since she's always downstairs, ready to hassle with me. Must be pleasuring the unfortunate men of Riverdale, I suppose, not that I really care to be honest. 

I grab a muffin from the kitchen and run outside and out of the gate before I spotted Toni's car down the road. I run over to the car and jump in, causing her to jump.

"Fucking hell..scared the living shit out of me." Toni muttered as she started the car and drove off into the narrow road

I chuckled giving her a quick side hug. "Sorry..I didn't want to keep you waiting much longer." I shrugged laying my head down on her shoulder as she drove.

"Don't lie..you just couldn't wait to see me." Toni said, grinning cheekily as she glanced down at me while I rolled my eyes at her cockiness.

"Don't flatter yourself Topaz." I scoffed, shaking my head as I shut my eyes.

"Tired?" She asked, wrapping one of her arms around my shoulders as I nodded.

"Yeah..so let me sleep please..thanks." I muttered, adjusting myself on her shoulder as she chuckled.

I'm honestly so lucky to have this girl in my life. When she first came, all I saw her as was a dirty, drug dealing Southsider but soon I realised she was much more than that. After I eventually caved in and agreed to go with her to Pops, I came to realise it was one of..if not the best day in my life. We've been friends since junior year and now we're in senior. Not that long but we've formed such an unbreakable and special bond that for us..time doesn't matter. This is what I found myself thinking about as I drifted off to sleep on Toni's shoulder. My best friend.]
