"Fine."
Bonnie replied.

"Good! So! What's the amazing plan you've cooked up?"
I asked with a smile.

"We're going to kill the devil."
Damon said simply.
"So we're going to need the knife."

"And we should just give you the knife why? You're not exactly the strongest bunch."
Kai laughed.

"Because we can get to the devil to kill him."
Damon stated simply.

"No, I don't think you can. To get to the devil you need to have something he wants and still be strong. You're either a simple vampire, human or a witch."

"Well we're certainly not trusting you two to do it!"
Caroline added in and I rolled my eyes.

"Bon-Bon can't your psychic powers help?"
Damon asked her.

"Possibly. But Cade is stronger than me. He's had centuries to fine-tune his abilities."

"You need a way of getting to him. A bargaining chip. Something to draw him out."
Kai said simply.

"Yes, and for that we need the knife."

"The knife is my insurance policy"
Kai smiled.
"You need to have a stable plan before I even think about giving you this knife. So call me when you have one."
He sighed and we both headed out.

We got in the car and Kai turned the engine on and we quickly headed away.

"Are we actually going to help them, Kai? I know Amelia mentioned my family but it seems like helping them is a sure fire way for me to die."

"I know babe. And I have no intention of helping them. In fact, I've got an old friend to meet to cook up a plan."

"Oh, now I'm intrigued."

"You should be. Are you ready to meet the baddest bitch of all?"

"So, the famous Kai survives after all."
Kathrine smirked as she strutted in front of us.

"Hello Kathy P, how's hell?"

"Dull without you there. Cade is so boring."
I rolled my eyes and she laughed.
"And this one must be Sylvia, the one shining light that kept Kai sane."

I took a sarcastic bow.
"The one and only."

"Like two peas in a pod."
She laughed.
"So, they're planning to kill the devil?"

"Yep, trying to convince us to hand over the knife."

"That ugly thing can kill the devil? Now wouldn't that be fun! I'd get to rule hell."

"Hang on, so if Cade dies then you rule? What would you do?"
I asked her.

She laughed.
"Revenge."

"Against Bonnie and everyone? I'm in."
Kai smiled and I agreed.

"Thing is, they're never going to fall for it."
I sighed.

"They just need an excuse to believe that Kai wants to help them."
Kathrine had a smirk plastered across their face.

"Aw Kathy P, you've got to tell me now."
Kai smiled.

"I want Elena. So I take Sylvia with me and you use that as an excuse to help them. A whole big speech about redemption, then snatch Elena from them and give her to Cade. Sylvia will be waiting."

Kai's brows furrowed. He didn't like the idea.

"It's a good idea Kai. They know the only thing that pushes you to do anything is me."
