Twenty Seven

*ELLE'S P.O.V*

I thought I should go check out how Devan was going, since, he did save... well try to save me. Gosh! Why am I so stubborn! And stupid! I walked over to Devan's and knocked on the door, I saw an unfamiliar car so I hoped that they didn't have friends over.

"Oh, Hello there." I look at their beautiful mom, can't believe she isn't a model.

"H..hi is Devan here?" I say shyly.

"Yes he is! He is upstairs in his bedroom do you know which one is his?"

"Yeah...I do." I say looking down.

She was beautiful and so welcoming, I never knew that their mom was so kind. I walked up the stairs and turned into Devan's room, I knocked on his door.

"Yeah mom?"

I open the door a bit

"It's me."

"Elle! Come in come in."

"How's your eye going?"

"Good, how are you?"

"I'm good Devan."

There was a silence.

"How are you and Collins?" I hear him ask.

"Honestly, I don't know. He is so sweet and all but...he hit you..."

"I'm fine Elle, just remember, if my mom asks, some gang member did it."

I giggle and nod my head.

"Are you up for ice cream?"

"Devan, it's me."

We laugh and walk down the stairs.

"Mom! I'm going out with Elle!"

"Ok, don't stay out too late."

As we got into the car Devan put up his music loud.

"YOU LIKE THIS SONG RIGHT?!" Of course he had to scream otherwise I wouldn't hear him

"YEAH I DO!"

We sang and everything, when we were on a highway I noticed Devan looking at me. I look forward

"DEVAN LOOK ON THE ROAD!" I scream

Devan quickly looks onto the road and turns left. A car had been driving on the wrong side of the road. 

"Thank you Elle."

"No problem Devan." I smile. "I don't want anything to happen to you."

"Why?" I hear him ask.

"Omg did I just say the out loud?!"

"Uhh, yeah."

"Oh, well because I like you Devan."

"I like you too Elle."

"But..."

"But what Elle?"

"I'd like you more if we go get ice cream now."

"Haha, ok then Elle."
