If I Stay: A Divergent Fanfic

-Chapter One-

   Tris's POV:

   I wake up breathing heavily, they found us, the Divergent. Looking around I realise that I'm still in the compound, everyones alive, everyone is ok... I'm ok.

   Today we will choose our jobs, since I ranked first I will get to choose first, Tobias will be there, Eric, Max, and generally everyone in Dauntless.

   I get dressed in black skinny jeans, a black v-neck, and converse pull my hair out of my face, and into a ponytail.

   Hurrying down the hall, I get trampled by many Dauntless making their way to the cafeteria.

   I will choose Transfer Instructor and Aptitude Administration.

   As soon as I enter the cafeteria I see max stading next to sign up sheets for job choosing, I choose first, then Uriah, but after that I stop paying attention and look for Tobias.

   The first place that comes to mind is of course, The Chasm.

   And of course, he is there.

   "Four... something wrong?" I ask, seeing him lean on the chasm rails.

   "No, just thinking." He says.

   "Oh."

   "Speaking of... What did you choose?" Tobias asks me.

   "Initiate Trainer and Aptitude Administer." I smile.

   "Great!" He hugs me "We can work together!"

   "Call me Six" I smirk.

   "What happend? Five is taken?" He says mocking Christina.

   "No but Four is" I smile, hoping he'll get my joke.

   "And I'll stay taken." Tobias smiles and kisses me. "Now come on I have a surprise for you." He says leading me to his apartment.  

   I shriek as Tobias sets me on his bed.

   "How does it feel to be seventeen?" He asks.

   "Pardon?" I ask, cluelessly.

   "Happy birthday!" He kisses me.

   "What's the date?" I ask curiously, it's obvious the I'm divergent sometimes.

   "June 6th" Tobias responds.

   "6. 6" I repeat.

   Tobias laughs and I join in.

   "The new initiates come next week..." I say.

" Ugh here we go" he replies.
