Different lifestyle

Darling grew up in Chicago, everyone knows that, but what people don't know is how she lived her life.

Sure there were bits and pieces of her being the "talk of the neighborhood" for being such a talent within the kids in her block.

Darling never went out much, being an only child you're surrounded by adults all the time. And being anti social as well, Darling struggled to make friends.

Of course Darling had cousins, but at the time the only youngest was an infant, you can't get very far with an infant.

Other than that Darling stayed inside her home, she wasn't very social within her school life so she didn't have very many friends, and where she lived was a somewhat dangerous area. So a young naive girl outside? In Chicago? Without parent supervision. It was just a message for disaster.

So what would a young child, who has no siblings or anyone her age. She talked to herself, sure that seems weird, but what really could she do?

Now much older, she has outgrown it, but some rare occasions she has talked to herself in her head, which is in a way a conscious, but that's a story for another time.

Darling has been known to have her independent moments and her stubbornness shows throughout it.

As the Sasaeng scandal has been slowly starting to end, Darling still has a gut feeling it won't be the last of seeing him. She thought she would resolve it, but it didn't work in her favor and she needed help, when she believed she didn't need it.

Growing up, her parents have struggled to maintain their relationship, at some point when Darling was younger, her parents were in discussion of a divorce, but it never went through. Darling has always walked around eggshells whenever she talked to her parents, even in the present she has always been cautious about how she should word her sentences. She started to realize that she was placing her parents needs before her own. Which is fine of course, but Darling never really took care of herself mentally, which she also still struggles in the past.

Of course Darling has felt a little left out from the rest of her male members. She feels as if the boys only stay with her during breaks because they feel bad, which is something she never wanted. Sometimes Darling just can't visit her parents at times of breaks because their schedules just don't work out, which seems weird considering a month long break is truly a long time, but both her parents are busy with work. Darling has tried to give them some cash to help them, but have always refused.

Darling sat on the couch, the start of another month break after the Love Yourself Tour continues. She flips through channels, seeing re run variety shows or the news about Downey's lack of fabric softener supply. She stops on a news channel talking about the topic, being as ARMY bought all the inventory for the "adorable" smelling fabric softener, Darling carelessly drops the remote next to her as she half watches the tv and half spaces out.

"You ok Darling?" Jungkook asks as he pulls a small luggage out into the living room.

"Yeah, just bored." She answers as she turns the volume low on the TV.

"What about your family?" Jungkook asks as he sits next to her on the couch. Most of the boys have left to visit family as Darling, Jungkook were technically the only known people were in the dorm, unless Yoongi was hibernating, back in his home town or in his studio working on who knows what.

"They've been busy, planning some family stuff. I don't really wanna bother them. Whenever they plan things, their attention is fully on it." Darling said as she switch her attention back to the tv.

"Are you sure you'll be ok-"

"Yes I'll be fine." Darling interrupted.

"I don't want to take your time away just for my sake. Go visit family. I'll be fine." Darling finished as she softly spoke grabbed the remote and changed the channel to a k-drama.

"Ok Noona." Jungkook said as he grabbed his luggage and left the dorm, the door closed softly as she groaned.

"I should get some food while I can." She told herself as she got up and left.

She went to the convenience store and went through the aisles, she wore dark sweatpants with a beige hoodie, the hood was over her head as she had a black mask over her nose and mouth as she grabbed some ramen noodles cups and snacks while grabbing a few bottles of water and soda as she went to the cashier.

"Is that all?" A girl in her early 20s asked, she looked at Darling suspiciously as she scanned the items, Darling caught the stare and pulled the mask down to her chin.

"I swear i'm not gonna rob you." Darling whispered out as another person walked into the store. The cashier looked at Darling and her eyes widen in shock as she smiles widely, Darling quickly pulls the mask over her face as the cashier printed her receipt. Darling saw a pen and a pack of post-it's as she grabs them as signs the small colorful square.

"I was never here, and thank you." Darling said as she winked and pulled the square from the pack and handed it to the cashier, they traded as Darling grabbed her receipt and the plastic bag of snacks and drinks as she left, the cashier star struck.

Darling walked the night time streets of Seoul as she admires the lights illuminating the sky. It reminded her of Chicago.

She entered the dorm and placed the bag on the coffee table in the living room. Pulling out the items and placing all the drinks in the fridge so they keep cool. Darling heads into the kitchen with her ramen noodle cup and prepares it.

As it cooks she waits, as she does Yoongi enters the kitchen with a backpack on.

"Leaving so late." She says as she looks to her, he walks to her and hugs her.

"Nope, came back from the studio, I leave in 3 days to visit family." He says as he kisses her cheek while still hugging.

"Are you making me ramen?" He asks as his hands slowly make their way to her upper waist.

"I'm making ramen for myself, there's another cup on the coffee table." Darling told as she stirred the noodles with a spoon as Yoongi ran into the living room to grab the bowl.

"Weirdo." Darling said under her breath as she took some noodles onto her mouth as Yoongi came back with the ramen noodle cup. He prepares it as Darling stares at him. Darling starts to zone out as he turns to see her.

He moves his hand over her face as she returns to reality.

"You ok? He asked concerned as Darling's eyes flick to the floor.

"I just miss home." She said as her eyes return to Yoongi's eyes.

"Then visit them." Yoongi said as he moved to get his ramen.

"They're busy, I don't want to burden them." Darling told as she stared at her ramen.

"Family doesn't burden family. Go visit them, I'll go with you."

"I am not letting you miss out on visiting your family. That's unlike you." Darling told.

"Look, I'll figure out, for now, let's just eat and watch some movies." Darling said with a sad smile as Yoongi sighed in defeat as he smiled. They both moved to the living room and sat on the couch finishing their ramen.

She pulled the luggage behind her as she shifted the mask over her face and the hood. She licked her chapped lips as the cold hit you sharply.

She looked around until she saw two people, she quickly pulled the mask down and smiled as she jogged to them and hugged them tightly.

"Hola hija."

"Hi mom, hi dad." Darling said as she smiled.

"I'm sorry for being so busy." They said at the same time.

"Let's just take you home." Her mother smiled as her father kissed the side of her head.

Sorry for the grammatical errors, and the lack of updates, with starting a new semester, some personal issues within my family and myself, I know what I said, but a lot has happened, but i'm getting back into the swing of things.
