Chapter 5. Phone-calls..

Everyone was still clapping.

German and Angie sat back down.

"German, the ring is beautiful! Thank you so much. You don't know how happy you've made me! I love you so much" said Angie staring at German then at her ring.

She had a beaming smile upon her face.

German's phone rang...he went to answer it and it stopped.

"Angie, I'm so happy you like the ring. I went to six different jewelers and it took me 8 hours to find the perfect ring" replied German.

Angie got hold of German's hand.

"I love you German. I can't believe you would do all this just for me".

"I love you too Angie will all my heart. I'd do anything for you...shall I pay the bill so we can go home and tell Violetta the good news?" asked German.

Angie nodded.

A waiter was passing their table. So German stopped him.

"Excuse me, can I have the bill please?" asked German.

The waiter nodded and off he went to the bar.

- 5 minutes passed -

The waiter came back with the bill and the credit card machine.

That will be £28.89 please.

German stuck his credit card into the machine. The waiter handed over the receipt to German.

"There you go Sir"

The waiter started to walk away....German stopped him.

"Wait, here's a little something for you. Thank-you for your services". German gave the waiter a £20 tip.

"Oh thank-you kindly Sir!"

German nodded and off the waiter went.

"German, i've never seen you give a tip like that. You normally tip the waiter £5. You must be  feeling generous"

"Angie, i'm not feeling generous, i'm feeling very very happy. This is all because your going to become my wife"

German got up and walked to where Angie was sat. He put his hand out.

Angie got up and off they went out of the restaurant holding hands.

He helped Angie into the car. His phone started to ring again.. this time German ignored it and carried on.

They drove home.

- 10 minutes passed -

They were home. German helped Angie out of the car and kissed her.

They didn't realize Violetta was sat at the window watching them.

Violetta ran straight down the stairs and went to the door.

Angie and German came through the front door.

Violetta had a massive smile across her face.

"Well....." assumed Violetta.

"Well what..?" replied German teasing Violetta.

"TELL ME!!" shouted an excited Violetta.

"WE ARE ENGAGED!" shouted Angie!

Violetta ran towards Angie & German and gave them a big hug.

"Aw Dad, Angie! I'm so happy for you both!"

"Thank-you Vilu, so am I!" replied Angie.

German was about to answer until his phone began to ring.

"I'll just go take this call, i'll be back in 2 minutes" replied German kissing Angie on the cheek.

Angie and Violetta nodded.

German went into his office.

There was no caller ID...but he still he answered..

"Hello my love!" shouted a voice you will all know......JADE

"Jade, what do you want? and why did you ring me from an unknown number?" German asked suspiciously.

German didn't realize....that Angie was stood with her ear pressed up against the office door...
