Chapter 12

Marinette thought for a moment before nodding, "Um... Yes, we can be friends."

Adrien smiles slightly, "Great."

Marinette sat back down once again, "Does she know about me?"

Adrien sat down and shook his head, "Not really."

Marinette nodded, "I thought she would."

Adrien looked down, "I'm just scared, and I'm not ready."

Marinette nodded once again, "That's understandible, you don't have to tell her."

Adrien looked back at Marinette, "Thank you."

Marinette nodded before asking, "Who was the girl she was with."

"Her friend, thier best friends to be exact," Adrien explained.

Marinette smiled, "He first best friend."

Adrien nodded and added, "And crush."

Marinette tilted her head in confusion, "Did you say... Crush?"

Adrien began to feel a bit nervous now, "Um... Yes?"

Marinette furrowed her eyesbrows, "But she's a gir-" She cut herself off after realzing. "Oh, I understand now."

Adrien nodded, "Yeah, she was kinda scared at first."

"That's..." Marinette trailed off before she smiles. "Cute!"

Adrien smiled glad she wasn't against it, "I'm glad she's happy."

Marinette nodded the smile not leaving her lips, "Of course you are."

"What are you guys talking about?" Emma asked as she walked to them with Clarissa next to her.

"Nothing that you would understand princess," Adrien said as their was a knock at the door. "Ket me get it," He stood and walked over to the front door. He opened the door, "Hey Nathaniel?"

Once he was done talking Nathaniel grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him outside. No one really noticed this and the door closed behind him.
