Reika was right. With his ankle condition, Yuzuru can't even be on the ice. When he arrived at TCC, everyone were shocked to see him and asked him to go home because there's no need of him to be here. He was instructed to rest properly until his injury fully recover, since at the Olympics he already forced it before it had the chance to fully recover.
He didn't want to go home.
Because he left the condo in a hurry, he forgot to take his painkillers pills. So to ease his pain, they give Yuzuru a mattress on the massage room and put ice packs on his ankle, and he spends the rest of the day staying like that, sitting nicely while consulting with his choreographer and coaches for a new program of his.

Reika didn't cry when Yuzuru left her this morning, and that's something she's proud of.
