this was it, the day you were finally going to ask lydia martin on a date. you'd been wanting to ask her for months but had never had the courage to, but you realised it was finally time to do it.
you caught up with her after school had finished, "lydia! hey!" you quickened your pace to catch up to her as she whirled around.
"hi, y/n," she smiled, "what's up?"
suddenly your mouth went dry and you became extremely nervous, "um, i..."
"come on y/n, you don't have to be nervous around me." she said softly, reaching out to squeeze your hand tightly.
you nodded, re-gaining your courage, "lydia... would you like to go on a date with me?"
her smile widened, "i thought you'd never ask! of course, i'd love to."
"great! um, how about tonight? dinner at eight- what do you like?"
"i'll be up for anything." she shrugged, her lips curling into an adorable smile.
