whilst searching for clues in the woods with malia you decide that now is the best chance to tell her how you feel, since it's becoming dauntingly obvious that something could happen at any time with all of the new supernatural threats.
"malia, there's something i need to tell you." you say as you walk besides her, avoiding any branches on the ground.
"yeah?" she asks, glancing over at you with your favourite hazel, brown eyes.
"i like you- like really, really like you." you blurted out.
she turned to face you as her plump, pink lips smiled, revealing her pearly white teeth, a slight giggle erupting from her throat, "i know, took you a while to admit it."
you stared at her dumbfoundly, "y-you knew?"
she laughed, raising goosebumps on your skin, "i always hear your heart racing when we're together. i was just waiting for you to say something."
"oh." you nodded, forgetting about the little fact that she was a werecoyote and could hear your heart.
"don't worry, i really, really like you too." she replied, taking hold of your hand as you continued to walk through the woods together.
