I Can't

The tears well up in my eyes,

But I can't cry in front of these people,

I break my hands free of Ian's grasp,

"No..."

"What?"

"I said no!"

Now that Janette's in the infirmary for the next couple weeks I'm his back-up plan,

I refuse to fall for it,

"Hannah I'll come see you later."

I walk away,

I hear whispers and mumbles from the room,

Next thing I know Marcy's flying towards me,

"Hey, what's up with you?"

"Ian and his glob globbin girlfriend."

"Wanna go strangle some pixies and talk about it?"

"Yeah."

I was surprised,

Marceline wasn't really the sentimental type,

She changed into her giant bat form so I could ride her,

It reminded me of the first time I met Ian when I rode him while he was in wolf form...

I feel a tear slide down my face onto Marcy's back,

"Are you crying?" she says exaggerating the word crying.

"Uh, no?"

She laughs,

"It's not funny!"

"Whatever you say..."

We get to the pixie meadows,

But I couldn't catch anything...

"Ava it's okay, I dated this guy, ash, and he sold my childhood toy I got from Simon to Maja." Marceline says, trying to comfort me

"The sky witch?"

"Yeah."

"I'm sorry, Marcy. It's just...I really liked Ian, so much, why did he have to like Janette!"

"It's common, happens a lot."

"I-I can't, I gotta go Marcy...I'm sorry."

I walk to the water kingdom and visit Janette,

But I see Hannah's already in there,

Apologizing,

She turns around and looks at me,

"hey." I say shyly

"Hey, can we talk?" She says,

"Sure....I guess."

I don't know what she'll talk to me about though.

Guess there's only one way to find out.
