Calum: The Evil Dead (1981) - You’d manage to convince Cal—after an hour of pouting and puppy dog eyes—to watch your favorite horror movie with you, as long as you give him a shoulder massage before bed. You’d happily agree and curl up with him on the couch, quoting every character’s line and, during the more suspenseful parts of the film, jump and grab Cal’s arm to scare him—which works every time. By the time Cheryl is locked in the basement, Calum’s on the edge of his seat, terrified to see what happens next.

Ashton: Evil Dead II - He’s hesitant to watch the film with you at first, but then you convince him that it’s more comedic than scary, and he reluctantly agrees, since he’s wrapped around your finger. You sit on the living room floor, and Ashton lays down between your legs with his head in your lap, drifting to sleep while you play with his mop of curly hair. When Linda’s head falls in Ash’s lap, you jump, stirring your boyfriend from his slumber, and he lazily pouts up at you.

Luke: Army of Darkness - You know damn well he hates horror films since they don’t help his fear of the dark at all, but you sneak your copy of Army of Darkness into the DVD player and pin Luke down on the couch to prevent him from turning it off. After twenty minutes of wrestling, he finally gives up, and you collapse on top of him, resting your head on his chest. You mouth every single line of the film, having watched it at least a hundred times, and Luke can’t help but chuckle at your enthusiasm. When you catch him laughing, you shift so you’re hovering over him and grin. “Gimme some sugar, baby,” you giggle before pressing a kiss to his soft lips.

Michael: Evil Dead (2013) - You swear Michael hasn’t blinked once since the movie started, his eyes wide as they stare at the TV. His muscles are stiffened, his body rigid in fear, and you kiss down his neck to try to loosen him up; not even that works. “I hate this movie,” he whispers before letting out a manly scream when a demon begins to chase Mia through the forest. You laugh and squeeze his hand for comfort, feeling a little guilty for forcing him to watch it with you—especially when he stays awake all night, too scared to sleep.
