"We don't know where she is. Meaning, we need magic." Maddie finished as she looked at Sophie with a strained smile. "Why don't you do it?" Sophie questioned and Maddie sighed, but Klaus answered before she got the chance.
"Madeline, here, is not only pregnant with my niece, but she is also the one person Marcel doesn't expect to play a part in this. He thinks she's human and his friend, so right now she is our advantage against him." Klaus stated before leaning forward.
"So we need you to do the spell." Klaus finished and Sophie shook her head. "Davina would sense it." The witch stated and Rebekah smirked. "Unless, of course, another witch, say, a traitor to the cause...Katie, for example, was to perform much more powerful magic at the same time." The blonde female stated and Maddie smirked as she continued.
"That would create a smokescreen concealing your very small spell from Davina." Maddie finished and Sophie shook her head.
"Katie doesn't deserve to die." Sophie sighed sadly causing the mug to shatter in the Petrova Hybrid's hands as she rounded on the witch. "Neither does a young pregnant woman or an unborn child, but bitch that's your fucking leverage." Maddie snapped, causing the witch to fall silent as Maddie stood up and slowly walked over.
"Sophie, you're in no position to be so damn principled. You can't win a war without a few strategic losses, no matter how much you regret them. How many times have the vampires been one step ahead, known something they shouldn't know?" Maddie questioned and the witch looked away from the Petrova Hybrid.
"Your sister executed in the public square for practicing magic who knew she'd be caught? Did she even attempt to flee?" Klaus questioned as he joined the Petrova Hybrid.
"She was caught hiding in a cargo hold of a freighter before it set sail down the Mississippi." Sophie barely said in a whisper, tears gathering in her eyes. "And who, pray tell, in Marcel's valued inner circle manages his business at the docks?" Klaus questioned again and the witch sighed defeatedly.
"Katie's boyfriend, Thierry."

"Cami. I have to change this name tag. Drunk guys keep hitting on me in French." Maddie heard as she walked into the bar. "Hey, Cam!" Maddie greeted before smirking as she saw Rebekah. "Hey, Mads. Careful behind the bar, Reta was drinking while serving again so I'm betting my life that she smashed a few glasses." Cami stated and the Petrova Hybrid huffed at the news.
"Of course she did." Maddie said before leaving the two blondes to their conversation. "You sure you haven't been in here before? Your face looks so familiar." She heard Cami say and Maddie smirked, knowing all about Rebekah and Cami's first meeting.
"Oh! You must have seen me out and about. Aren't you dating Marcel Gerard? He's a pal of mine, sort of. I heard he had a crush on the blond bartender at Rousseau's." Rebekah stated in attempt to set up part 2 of their plan, Maddie being there to make sure it runs smoothly.
"I would hardly call it dating. He's wooing me...sort of. I don't know. He's very charming, which probably means I should run for the hills." Cami laughed nervously as she put some glasses away. Meanwhile Maddie was serving drinks like the life of the party, still managing to keep up with the conversations.
"I'm kind of in an on-again/off-again thing myself at the moment." Rebekah stated and Cami huffed. "Those are the worst, aren't they, the ones you can't shake, even though you know better, and you always know better." Cami ranted and Rebekah smiled. A fake smile, but it was enough to pass as a real smile.
"I like you, Cami. Most girls have the unfortunate tendency of being whiny, little twits." Rebekah pointed out and Maddie snickered, muttering a small "amen".
"Thanks I think." Cami trailed off, still not knowing if it was an insult or a compliment. "Hey, I'm supposed to go to this posh charity thing thrown by this philanthropist tonight. He's a bit of a Gatsby, throws a mean party. Any interest?" Rebekah questioned and the blonde hesitated.
"Madeline will be there." Rebekah then pointed out, causing the blonde to raise an eyebrow. "How do you know?" Cami questioned, sneaking a glance to the brunette, who was laughing at something a costumer said, as the Original Vampire smirked. "Because my brother is escorting her to the party."
