Chapter Eight

Liana's POV
I open the door to see my mother lying on the ground bleeding out wolfs-bane clearly infected her wounds "Mom!" I scream running over to her side she lifts her finger and points, she then whispers "behind you." I turn around to see a lady smiling holding a gun loaded with wolfs-bane silver bullets. "Mom" Noah says I turn to him and see him being held back by someone who I guess is his father, if the lady with the gun is his mother. "Mom don't do this just let her go. I'll do whatever you want just let her go."

He acted as if this isn't news to him. He knew, he knew who I was and he got close to me to kill me and now he is trying to protect me. "I am not letting someone who has this disease get away she is going to die just like her mother." now that made me angry I shifted not caring if my clothes got ripped. My wolf was a beautiful pure white wolf.

I had violet eyes that got lighter turning into a lavender the angrier I get, which my blood was boiling. I jumped at her and knocked the gun out of her hands. I ran over to the closet grabbed the handle and tore off the door before grabbing the escape backpack and tossing it out the door for later. I then growled when three more guys popped out holding guns.

I had been trained my whole life for this so I knew what to do. I bolted towards Noah pouncing and pushing off of his dad letting him go. There was a loud bang and I felt a pain right in front of my hind leg somewhere on my stomach. It hurt and I could feel the wolfs-bane spreading but I pounced on the two of the men who looked exactly similar, I was guessing they were twins.

Their guns went off when I knocked them, one of the bullets skimming my forearm. I could feel my wounds were infected and I was getting really tired but I fought it. I got knocked in the head and it paralyzed me. I shifted my eyes to see behind his dad, Noah knocking someone to the floor then it was just his dad. His dad raised his bat against his head and thrust it down on top of me, but it was caught by Noah. he threw the bat backup and it knocked his dad in the face.

They started fighting and I was able to move again so I stood up grabbed my bag and bolted. I knew I should have stayed and helped Noah but I had to get somewhere. It was only a few towns away and I knew I could make it. I ran as fast as I could with the pain, after about thirty minutes I saw the house and ran behind a bush changing into clothes. I was exhausted as I walked up and knocked on the door, a guy answered "I need help please."

I said gasping for air, I tried to walk but I fell. He caught me and picked me up "Natalie, Remi get the first aid kit." I had my hand on my stomach trying to stop the bleeding of where I got shot. He lightly placed me on the couch then two other people came into what I guessed was their living room.

One of them, Remi was about my age. The other woman who I'm guessing was Natalie she was carrying the first aid kit and gasped when she saw me. "What happened to her?" Remi said. "Remi that's not nice. Hayden how did you find her?"

That's who the guy was Hayden. "She was on our doorstep, I don't know what happened." I keep looking back and forth between them Natalie looks at me and says "can you tell us what happened." her face was covered in concern.

I tried my best to speak "Mother...Hunters...wolfs-bane....help....safe.... Nick Burn." that's all I could get out. I was trying to say, my mother was attacked and killed by hunters, I was shot with wolfs-bane, I ran for help, I need your help to keep me safe, I need help finding someone named Nick Burn. Hayden looked shocked "Nick Burn, that's what you said right?"

I nodded "Nick Burn is my brother, can you tell us with more detail what happened?" Remi rolled her eyes at her dad "we already know what happened dad her mother was attacked and killed by werewolf hunters, she was shot and infected with wolfs-bane, now we need to help keep her safe and help her find uncle Nick. Duh." I wasn't shocked but her parents definitely were. I knew they were her parents by scent and because you can definitely see them both in her.

"Ok tell me something Remi, how did you know all that.?" her dad was so confused "a vision dad, I'm a hybrid so my seer powers are enhanced by my angel powers." I smiled. My mom never told me a lot about werewolves but what I needed to know like how to get wolfs-bane out of your system.
