" I can't . It's too much ."

Constance's POV*

" You're not safe ." Cole said .

I turned and looked at him , " You think I'm scared ?"

" Aren't you ?" He asked , hesitating .

I gave him a wicked grin , " Not one bit ."

He gulped and faced Caleb .

I did the same and took a sip of the liquor , " I've been waiting for this day ." I said , smiling .

" Why ?" ' Chris ' asked .

" Because one day , I'm going to be the biggest mafia in the world ." I whispered .

" You're half way there . The whole U.S. fears you ." He said .

I nodded , smiling at the thought .

I wasn't just some weak gang leader .

Everyone has heard of me and my gang .

I wasn't those cliche gangs that the 'whole' town knows about .

I'm Constance Euphrates .

" We should go . Caiden is going to think we died or something ." Cole said , snapping me out of my daze .

I nodded and got up .

I pulled out my phone and texted Michael , one of my men , to look after Caleb .

" Let's go ." I said , once I received Michaels message .

The boys nodded and we made our way towards the door of the warehouse .

Once we got inside the car , we were all silent .

Once we got to my house , Cole and I got off the car and went inside .

I ignored everyone's stares and just went up to my office .

I sighed as I opened the door and shut it, leaning against it and letting my body go limp and fall .

I pulled out my phone and played music .

I got up and walked towards my fire place behind my desk and lit a match and turned on the fire .

Once it was on , I backed away and sat on my chair .

I watched the fire dance around .

Six Feet Under by Billie Eilish came on and I hummed , following the lyrics .

I closed my eyes and lifted my legs up to my chest and sang aloud to the song .

I let the warmth of the fire surround my body .

I stopped singing when I heard my office door open .

I quickly placed my feet on the floor and spun around to see who it was .

" Are you okay ?" Caiden asked , hesitating to come inside .

" I'm fine . Go back downstairs or wherever you care from . I'm not in the mood ." I quickly said .

His mouth opened a little but he shut it .

He nodded with a sad expression .

He closed the door and left .

I went back to my previous position .

My phone vibrated and I looked at it .

Cole : Can I come up ?
