If asked about vampires, people would often respond that they do not exist. That they are a product of fantasy, used in Hollywood and in other media for entertainment purposes. Young generations would surely talk about the mega famous saga of a girl and a vampire falling in love. Some others would speak about how they sleep in coffins and have no reflection. Others might mention that you can kill them with a silver dagger. People would certainly talk about different myths created out of fiction works, however, they would all agree on the fact that vampires were dangerous creatures. Monsters created by other monsters, scary beings of the night no one thought about until October came every year because that is what vampires are, a commercialized product of someone's imagination that only became important in those days close to Halloween.
For sure no one would mention something good about such creatures. In everyone's minds they were the villains. Such was not the case. At least not for Min Yoongi who had lost his family over a hundred years ago to the human predators who were out to haunt them. It was a sad and long story Yoongi'd rather not reminisce upon. Bottom line was that he lost everything and was almost caught as well. Thankfully, he had been able to hide from the hunters and since then he had kept himself hidden from the world. Hiding, however, became harder as the years went by. Human population increased at a amazing rate and the woods were becoming smaller. Yoongi had seen time after time how the trees and the forests he had once called his home got torn apart and replaced with large buildings, turning the once green space into concrete and asphalt jungles.
At a given time, Yoongi had tried to fight. He had torn down the machines, made the big cars collide, protected the animals from whom humans had mercilessly left without a home. His efforts were in vein. The cars got repaired and the machines worked again. It was a blow to Yoongi but at least something good had come from that. The place he had tried to defend got converted into a big hospital. Destined to save the lives of humans and that served as a restaurant for Yoongi. Naturally, the hospital had its own blood bank from which a certain mischievous vampire would steal his everyday meals. It was funny how many blood packs were discarded due to them not fulfilling the requirements for a human transfusion. It was even funnier how no one ever noticed how those packs kept disappearing. Thanks to the hospital and the willing patients who chose to donate blood, Yoongi was able to survive for decades still hiding from the world.
