"He's my friend, albeit one who is unaware that I am trying to sabotage his hold over the supernatural community of the French quarter, but a friend nonetheless." Klaus defended and Maddie threw her hands in the air. "Fucking fantastic." She muttered.
"-and secondly, I daggered Elijah in order to gain Marcel's trust. If I had known he would place my brother in the hands of a particularly nasty teenage witch, I certainly would have weighed my options a bit differently, and thirdly, sister, please." Klaus broke off, gesturing for the blonde female to continue as Maddie frowned at the mention of Davina.
She was disappointed in the witch for not telling her but she understood why. This was pre-war, there are sides and Maddie wasn't on Marcel's side. She expected that Marcel didn't know this, Davina was all about protecting the people she loves, and although Maddie wasn't on Marcel's side, she was always on Davina's, and the teenage witch knew this.
"And thirdly, the plan, as you have demanded, is for Niklaus to simply asks Marcel for Elijah back." Rebekah informed and Maddie instantly caught on. "That's not the whole plan, is it?" Hayley questioned causing the Petrova female and Mikaelson female both to scoff.
"Oh, please." Maddie started with a grin. "Klaus may be a miserable excuse for a sibling, but there is none more diabolical." Rebekah finished, resting her arm on Maddie's shoulder as they looked to the Original Hybrid.
"That's only the plan A, love. There's always a plan B." Klaus stated with a wink towards Maddie who smirked. "And what's plan B?" Hayley questioned only for the other brunette to cross her arms. "War." Maddie answered simply.

Madeline sighed as she waited outside the compound, a plastic bag holding a big bottle of apple juice, a bar of chocolate and a pint of cookies and cream ice-cream.
"All right. Come on. You both know the drill. Thierry is my guy, inner circle. Klaus is my old-time friend and sire, he's also a guest here. Peace, all right? All right?" She heard Marcel say as she listened in. "What you need, my brother?" Marcel questioned.
"I'm afraid my sister Rebekah is insisting I demand Elijah's return. She's quite worked up about it." Klaus stated causing the other older vampire to scoff. "I'll say." Marcel agreed.
"We're not gonna have 3 Originals walking around town, are we? Half our guys think the sister killed the nightwalkers." Thierry stated, with a dirty look aimed towards Klaus. "Is that an accusation against an original?" Klaus questioned, walking closer to the younger vampire making Maddie huff as she walked in with her arms up.
"Knock knock, bitches! Hey Marcel, Marcel's drinking buddy." Maddie nodded towards Klaus and Marcel before looking at the unacknowledged vampire.
"Thierry! I need a wine glass and a spoon, I just threw up a fucking weeks worth of food and I need to gain it back. You, my dear friend, are going to help me!" Maddie called out, causing the vampire to give Klaus one last glare before putting on a smile as he turned to the pregnant woman. "Why me? Marcel's right there." Thierry stated and Maddie smirked.
"Because you didn't do karaoke for me." She pointed out only for the vampire to point in Diego's direction who looked away with wide eyes. "He didn't either!" Thierry protested and Maddie's smirk widened as she watched the vampire slowly try and make his way out of the room.
"Oh no, don't think he's getting off the hook. He's next. Now let's go." Maddie said, grabbing the vampire's arm and dragging him off, sending a swift wink to Klaus. "She's a fun little thing." The Original Hybrid stated with a grin and Marcel smirked.
"Yeah, Maddie's been in and out of New Orleans since she was twelve. No one works the bar better than she and although she has an attitude bigger than the city, she's got spirit. She looks out for the people around her." Marcel stayed and Klaus smiled. "I don't doubt that for a second." He stated fondly of his honorary sister before the two started walking further into the compound.
"Your inner circle man lacks a sense of humor." Klaus then stated and Marcel shrugged. "He's a little overprotective, but loyal to a fault. I saved his life back in the forties, found him dying of a war wound outside a VA hospital. He'd kill for me and die for me. Plus, that boy can play the trumpet like you would not believe." Marcel stated.
"Maybe I'll see if he can play a little tonight at the party. You're coming, right?" Marcel then questioned and the Original Hybrid shrugged. "How can I miss my chance to meet the city councilman as he accepts your gigantic charitable donation?" Klaus questioned with a humorous grin.
"Oh, he's a schmuck, but he lets us do our thing in exchange for certain community services, like keeping our fangs out of the locals." Marcel scoffed before Maddie walked back out, a wine glass filled with apple juice and a pout on her face.
"What's up, buttercup?" Marcel questioned and the pregnant girl huffed. "Thierry's a little bitch. He ditched my ass in the kitchen while I was eating. I'm coming to the party by the way, thought it'd be a little fun." Maddie stated and Marcel shrugged with a smirk.
"As long as you know you're my date." Marcel stated causing the Petrova Hybrid to scoff. "Please. I've been ditched enough today, I'd much rather take my chances going with your friend here than get ditched on the dance floor for Cami." Maddie stated and Klaus smirked.
"I'd gladly escort you to this party if it means I have some company." Klaus bargained and Maddie smirked. "Please, I'm the best company you're ever going to get." The Petrova Hybrid stated cockily before gulping down the rest of her juice.
"Meet me outside at 8.30. Any later and you won't have any company at all." Maddie teased before walking out. Plan B was locked in, ready for action.

"Hey, Klaus, for the love of Mary Magdalene, how long does it take to ask a simple question? Maddie even got back before you did." Rebekah snapped into the phone as she walked down the corner, Maddie following next to her.
"Much longer than you'd think, considering the answer was, as expected, no. Marcel's man Thierry is suspicious. He thinks you killed 16 nightwalkers." Klaus stated on the other side making Rebekah scoff.
"Well, that's a lie. And Maddie killed 6 of them, why am I getting the blame?" Rebekah questioned and Maddie smirked. "Because Marcel doesn't know who or what I am yet." Maddie stated before Rebekah huffed.
"Well, I only killed 8. Should I make Thierry the 9th?" Rebekah questioned and Maddie smirked. "I'll help. Maybe if he didn't ditch me, I'd be a little more sympathetic but..." The Petrova Hybrid trailed off. "Marcel is playing friendly. We can't kill the favorite son, or he'll catch onto us." Klaus stated causing the two girls to share a look before shrugging.
"So war it is, then." Rebekah stated as she and Maddie crosses the street. "Indeed. Do you two know what to do with the witch?" Klaus questioned causing Maddie to scoff.
"You didn't give us a very hard task, Nik." Maddie pointed out, leaving Rebekah to answer. "I think we do." The blonde stated. "Good. You manage Sophie Deveraux. I'll take care of the next step." Klaus stated and Maddie smirked. "Will do."
