➚ Alana, the main character and victim in this novel, falls in love with her kidnapper, Jimin.
➚ Do not view these girls as weak or easy, because it is something they cannot choose for themselves. It often affects women, due to the fact that when they see their kidnapper face to face, they're more likely to feel helpless, powerless, and submissive.
➚ There are many ways this could happen. The captives eventually begin to believe that their kidnappers positive sentiments are genuine. Something as simple as giving them a bed to sleep on or a cup of water, could change the way they perceive their kidnapper.
