Blake leads me down and I immediately feel everyone's eyes on me. Variations of animal and patterned masks all stare up at me. Woman in dresses of all colors and sizes. Men in their suits. Everyone is looking at Sterling's new leader. The only female leader ever.

I push back my shoulders and walk with more confidence. These people should fear me just as much as any other person. They are yet to learn what I can do and why I'm Sterling's leader.
Instead of dancing straight away, Blake leads me over to a group of people chuckling at a joke one of them made. Pride seeps through every part of my fiance when he introduces me.
