Days passed serenely in the Zodiac Palace where the Rose Cruce Order now resided. One bright morning, when Tamie and Kokuyo, as usual, sat in the chamber of Byakuya, they heard the faint deep voice come from the bed:
"Tamie... Kokuyo..."
"Byakuya!"
Kokuyo hugged him the first and Tamie came after. Byakuya smiled, happy to see his dearest brother and friend. Yet, he was still too weak to properly express the sweet emotions that overwhelmed his heart.
"How are you?" Tamie asked with tears running down her cheeks. "I'll call Nora!"
She left the brothers to have some alone family time. Byakuya coughed:
"Kokuyo..."
"Try not to speak. Your throat too, has been damaged. I am so happy you're alright!"
"Same here..."
"Hmph, worry about yourself!" Kokuyo laughed - he was beaten up, lying injured in the bed, and had the nerve to talk like that?
Tamie returned with Nora. This latter asked the patient how he felt, examined his wounds, treated them and changed the bandages. Then, both she and Kokuyo left.
Tamie cuddled with Byakuya, who had now sat up and reclined on his pillow, with Nora's permission.

"I'm so glad you woke up! I was so worried!"
Tamie felt the manly arms embrace her and press her to his chest:
"I didn't want you to worry, so I left to accomplish my mission alone. Yet, it seems I've caused you even more pain by doing so".
"You didn't have to go alone! You have a brother here, you have friends. How could you think you were alone?!"
Tamie watched him with eyes full of tears. Her voice carried a scolding tone.
"I admit now, it was indeed reckless of me. I am sorry..."
Tamie sniffed and hugged him even tighter.
"I love you, Byakuya! Please, never leave again. If there is anything, you can always ask us for help! I shall always stand by your side".
"Thank you, Tamie... Thank you for everything. You are the kindest soul I have ever met".
Byakuya touched her chin, raised her head, and gazed into her brown eyes with his ocean blue ones. He bent down and touched her lips with his own. Tamie returned an affectionate kiss.
They talked a lot that evening. Both of them were happy to be reunited. This time, they'd remain together forever.
After Tamie left the room to let Byakuya rest, the door reopened. Byakuya trembled - a long-orange-haired demonic man had entered, the infamous twin brother of Ketsuryuu!
"Lord Getsuryuu..." he watched the dragon-man approach and take a seat on a chair near his bed, "What have you come for?"
"I hear your body contains my brother's soul".
"That... is true".
"You too have a brother. I believe you understand what it means to be longing for one's brother. Give him back to me".
"I wish I could..."
Byakuya cast his eyes down. Getsuryuu raised an eyebrow:
"What do you mean? My brother has regained his powers. It should be no problem anymore for you two to separate".
"You are right. The thing is - if he leaves my body, I will die. From the very beginning, I was a sick child, and your brother's grace has saved me. I am sorry".
"You dare say you shall imprison my brother within yourself just for your selfish purposes?!"
Getsuryuu snarled and wanted to attack, but Byakuya glowed bright red-and-yellow, and a large silhouette emerged, which took the human form of Ketsuryuu the Blood Dragon (that exact dragon-man Tamie had once met in Byakuya's dream world).

"Wo, wo, brother, chill!" he laughed, "Do not harm my boy!"
Getsuryuu, seeing his long-lost brother appeared so out of the blue, grew shocked:
"Ketsuryuu! Is that... you?"
"Who else? Don't tell me you don't recognize your brother!"
Getsuryuu, getting assured it was indeed his brother he had fought so hard to find, let out a joyful yell and dashed at him:
"Brother! It is you! I've missed you so much!"
Ketsuryuu laughed and hugged him back:
"I've missed you too, Getsu".
"So, how come you have appeared? This boy has just said you two couldn't separate".
"Well, the thing is - we have not separated. I just have all my powers back so this is my clone that has come out. I will be able to communicate with you this way. It is no problem, really".
"But why won't you return?" Getsuryuu frowned, "Humans do not deserve our grace. They are insolent creatures!"
"I believe you don't agree either with that statement of yours. You too have formed a kinship bond with a human".
"Yes, but..."
"Understand me, brother... Byakuya and I have grown friends. I cannot leave him now when we've helped each other so much throughout his life".
Getsuryuu heaved a sigh at his brother's bitter smile. He hit him softly on a shoulder:
"I do understand your feelings, Ketsu".
Thus, the two dragon brothers too, finally reunited.
