"Virgo Style, Tamer Art, Beast Mode - Green Ray of Moonlit Nature!"

"Sagittarius Style, Singer Art, Siren Mode - Blazing Claws of Tiger Mouse!"

"Libra Style, Writer Art, Demigoddess Mode - Triple Blue Fire Typhoon!"

The girls had surrounded the Blood Dragon and used the most powerful attacks up their sleeve. The Blood Dragon was not an easy target - it flew in the air and threw fire and burning light rays in all directions. The friends got hit and fell.

"Damn, it is too strong!" Riza said.

"I thought Getsuryuu would easily beat it!" Tiger said.

"Our powers are equal, so even if I too go berserk, no one knows what the outcome might be!" Getsuryuu shared his telepathic message.

"Then, how about we attack at the same time, with our ultimate powers?" Tamie said, "Maybe, we might add so much power to Getsuryuu's energy that it overpowers the Blood Dragon's one?"

"That might actually work!" Riza brightened.

"Worth to give it a shot!" Tiger agreed.

A large golden ray - the Blast of Sunlight - hit them from the Blood Dragon's part. They cast defensive spells, but the Sunlight Blast broke through their shields and hit them hard. They coughed. Their spirits had vanished, but Tiger had maintained the fusion with her pets so none of them got separated from her. The friends stood up again and wiped the blood off their mouths.

"It is quite savage, I'll give it that!" Riza sneered.

"I am a Beast. Therefore, I am more savage!" Tiger sprang up.

"We must not give up, girls!" Tamie said, "We cannot lose now - not when our friends' lives are on the line!"

They wove signs and rebuilt their energy up:

"Mouse Spirit, Ring Twelve, Muse Fusion - Blazing Siren Tiger Mouse!"

"Ox Spirit, Ring Twelve, Fusion - Green Nature Dragon Ox!"

Tamie too was going to cast her spirit incantation when she heard a familiar demonic voice in her head:

"Goddess, let me, this once, lend you a hand".

Tamie started - it was Kokujin!

"What do you mean, 'this once'?" she thought, "Haven't you always been helping me?"

A demonic laugh sounded through her head:

"You know I am much more powerful than that, don't you? Edmond Meerjung too has lent the complete power to his goddess right now, for he believes it is one of the gravest times..."

Tamie glanced at Riza, whose Mouse spirit had indeed fused with her muse's Tiger one.

"I didn't want to lend you this ultimate power of mine, Tamie, because I feared you might not handle it due to your weaknesses. Now, however, when you've reached the final, Rank Eight of the Writer Class, and also summoned the Twelfth ring of your spirit, I guess I can finally entrust you with the power for which you've named me 'Demon Lord'".

In her mind, Tamie saw Kokujin sit on a black throne, fired-up with Blue Flames. Tears of happiness filled her eyes:

"So, the time has come, Kokujin, for us to

"So, the time has come, Kokujin, for us to... fuse too?"

"You are no longer the weak girl who cried hot tears because of life's hardships. Now you are a strong woman who fights to protect her loved ones and bring balance and justice to this world. Because of that, I can bestow upon you my power - the one you've longed for so much - of a true dragon you've always desired to be. Even though you were born a tiger and not a dragon, you did not let it stop you from acquiring the ultimate might, so here is my gift to you, Tamie: Fusion!"

Tamie fired up with Blue Flames just like Kokujin. Tiger and Riza watched her in a stupor. However, it didn't take long for them to understand what she was going through. They too, during their battles, had undergone such fusion with their respective friends - Muse Edmond Meerjung and Moon Dragon Getsuryuu.

"Tiger Spirit, Ring Twelve, Muse Fusion - Blue-Flamed Gale Tiger Dragon!"

Tamie's White Zen energy merged with the Blue Fire. A large White Tiger Dragon spirit embraced her and roared.

"Awesome!" Tiger brightened.

"Way to go, Tamie!" Riza shouted.

"Let's combine our ultimate attacks, girls!" Tamie cried, "I feel the victory is ours!"

They cast incantations, while the Blood Dragon watched them in dismay and even fear now.

"Sagittarius Style, Singer Art, Siren Mode, Final Craft of Siren Lord - Blast of Blazing Jupiter!"

"Virgo Style, Tamer Art, Beast Mode, Final Craft of Moon Dragon - Blast of Moonlit Golden Mercury!"

"Libra Style, Writer Art, Demigoddess Mode, Final Craft of Demon Lord - Blast of Blue-Flamed Silver Venus!"

Three colourful blasts came from the three powerful spirits, but they were no ordinary ones - apart from being fused spirits, they had another significant feature: behind Tiger Braun's Dragon Ox spirit, shone the silhouette of Moon Dragon Getsuryuu in his human form, as if her guardian; the same type of a silhouette, but of Edmond Meerjung, blazed and grinned behind Riza Wagner's Tiger Mouse; and behind Tamie Wingfield's Tiger Dragon, shone Kokujin's face with a triumphant smirk.

The ultimate Planetary Blasts hit the dreaded Blood Dragon. It roared in pain and exploded. The Sun energy rushed out of defeated Marvin Wagner's body and returned into its primal source - unconscious Byakuya von Drachen's body, which contained the feeble soul of Ketsuryuu. This latter had now regained all of his energy.

On the battlefield in the room filled with dust and smoke shone three spirits of the three Rose Cruce member girls covered by their high guardians. Debbie, Byakuya's muse, who had been watching the heated battle for all this time, now stared at the three maidens with her mouth wide open:

They often told Byakuya, and thus me, that a sword and a gun were the mightiest weapons in the world. But now I guess, the saying "a pen is mightier than a sword", which I often used to laugh at, is actually true.

Debbie looked at Tamie, her Tiger Dragon spirit, and Kokujin's silhouette shining over her.

But there's more...

She glanced at Riza, Tiger, and their respective spirits and companions.

Not just a pen, but people's voices and nature's forces too, are all mightier than us puny weapons.

She and Byakuya, even though she was a muse and Byakuya held Ketsuryuu's powers, were unable to do anything, while these three girls - the one with a pen, the second with a voice, and the third with nature's guidance - were mighty enough to change the course of the world, just by combining their powers.

I guess, in the end, all swords will break, but the powerful hearts like theirs will never shake.

Byakuya was indeed lucky, to have such friends by his side.
