Gabby's POV
I didn't even get the chance to run to the bathroom to try and find a brush to comb out my long ratty hair with, before Elizabeth and Nash calling me down.
Nash was shirtless with just pants on, and I was wearing Nash's clothes, not to mention I was trying to hide upstairs.
I don't know what was more embarrassing; the fact I look like I've been hit by a truck, or that Nash and I look like we've been "playing checkers" in bed together all night long.
I haven't seen Elizabeth in forever, and here I was trying embrace the awkward situation I was currently in as she smiles lightly at Nash and I.
I know exactly what she's gotta be thinking and it makes my entire face turn red.
"It's great to see you sweetie. I hope you don't mind but I stopped by your house to meet Jess." She explains and I shake my head.
"No not at all. However I hope it wasnt as messy as I left it." I laugh a little.
"No it wasn't. Trust me no one can be as messy as this kid here." She refers to Nash who rolls his eyes at her comment.
"Yeah. Thankfully he's gotten better about it though." I say and smile softly, attempting to ease the conversation.
"Well I'm glad someone keeps him straight. You seem to be the only one he listens to." She laughs a bit.
"Sadly, he hasn't fancied it much lately." She smiles.
"I'm right here ladies." Nash interrupts and I smile forecfully.
"Sorry."
"So you two need to get ready. All of us are going out to eat for dinner."
---
I massage my temples as I begin pacing back and forth in Jess' bedroom as I think of a way I can get out of going to dinner woth Nash tonight.
"I mean, it's not even that bad Gabbs. I mean the worst possible scenario Nash and you get food poisoning." I look at Jess who's comfortably endulged in her new tempurpedic.
As much as I loved her to pieces she couldn't possibly be more frustrating.
"Or just have really hot hate sex with him." She looks at me with a slight smirk.
I scowl back at her reply and immediately find something to throw at her, and find 'Fifty Shades Darker', on her desk and chug it at her.
"OWE!"
"No freaking wonder you're horny all the time Jess, You're reading Fifty Shades Darker!"
"What? It's got some intense scenes in here and it's an amazing book."
"Clearly Hayes does not give you enough action while I'm gone." I say referring to her raging sexual hormones.
"Oh honey, he gives me plenty. Oh! And about that..." She cringes and I look at her in nervousness.
"What?" I ask her scared to know what she's about to tell me.
"Okay so like a month ago when I borrowed your car, and stayed out with Hayes late..."
"Jess, you didn't. NOT IN BETSIE!" I look at her wide-eyed. As she covers her face with the book I hit her with just seconds ago.
"I'm sorry!"
"NO! MY CAR ISN'T A VIRGIN ANYMORE." I groan and hold my face in my hands.
"I had ONE RULE!" Jess attempt to hide under her covers as I walk over to her, in defense.
I pull it back furiously, and jerk the pillow out from under her head, and begin beating her with it.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I stop and gasp thinking back to when Jess told me she wanted to 'repay me' for borrowing my car.
"Now I know why you paid to get my car seats shampooed!"
"Well actually I had dumped my latte in your drivers seat and I couldn't get it out."
"NOT A LATTE! UGHHHH THE BETRAYAL!!" I cry out dramatically.
"I know, I know, I'm sorry!" Jess apologizes.
"Ugh I can't even." I throw the pillow on the floor and rub my face annoyed.
"Why can't I just crawl under a cave and disappear?" I scream.
"Because you love your bestfriend too much to do that to me. Come on Gabbs, just try to get it together and stop being extra."
---
I slip off Nash's clothes just as soon as I can, and take a long, piping hot shower. Hoping to motivate myself to gain the energy to get out of the house, I desperately try to think about tonight in a positive way.
I've been ignoring Kade since we broke up yesterday, and I know I've hurt him. Seeing him Monday in English is going to be so hard.
He was so hot, yet sweet and kind. But the truth is I don't need anyone right now. I need time to finally work on me, yet the only problem is I am about to have to go on a dinner date with Nash Grier and his mom—well Hayes and Jess too.
After taking a nice relaxing shower, and wrapping a towel around me I comb and brush my wet hair while running some products through it. I decide to keep a simple look by straightening my hair and applying neutral colors to my eyes.
I finish my makeup and proceed to my bedroom to figure out something to wear.
"Jess!" I call for her in hopes she can be to some wardrobe assistance. She dresses better than anyone I know, and half the time anyone is lucky to see me in anything fancier than a t-shirt and jeans.
"Yes?" Jess opens the door and looks at me confused.
"I need some help. I have no idea what to wear."
"Well...you can't show too much because you're going with his mom, so I'd wear something like a t-shirt dress."
Taking Jess' advice, I put on an olive green long-sleeve t-shirt dress that reaches about knee-length. After rummaging through my shoes, I decide on pairing my dress with a pair of tan wedges.
In the midst of attempting to fit the shoe over my foot, I'm startled by the ringing of my phone. I throw the shoes to the side and head to my nightstand and look over the Caller ID.
"Nash"
I roll my eyes at the thought of him as I quickly unplug the charger from my phone and pick it up.
"What?" I ask him after pressing 'accept'.
"Hey. Sorry to bug you. Mom wanted to know what you were in the mood for?"
"Uhm....well. I'm not sure. I don't really care. Maybe Mexican? Or—"
"She wants Mexican." I can hear Nash tell his mother and I roll my eyes.
"Sounds good!" I hear Elizabeth in the background.
"I'll see you in a bit then huh?" Nash tells me.
"Yeah. Bye" I hang up.
I plug my phone back up, and quickly get ready for tonight's dreadful dinner."
