Sorry y'all, my life has been hectic and super busy.

Gabby's POV

Kade's house is located about 20 miles outside of Greensboro, an it's not until now that I hadn't realized how far Kade had lived from not just my house, but the university as well.

His home was more secluded, but in a nice way. It's beautiful aesthetic along with the yard, gave off a sense of peace and comfort.

I undo my seatbelt as well as Kade, after coming to a stop in his driveway.

Kade gets out and I quickly try to as well, before realizing he'd already locked the door.

Kade makes his way over toward my door to open it for me and grins.

"Thank you." I smile.

"No problem." I shut my door as I gather myself and bring my purse along with me in one hand.

His house is somewhat large, tidy, organized, and well decorated with grey and black accents.

The air holds a soft, light linen smell to it, one that isn't extremely strong.

"Wow. Your house is emaculate. Did you decorate it?" I question and he smiles as he takes off his jacket, hanging it on the hook.

"No my mother did. She's obssessed with interior design." I smile.

"I like her taste." I admit, while running my fingers over the smooth couch.

"Is this genuine leather?" I question him curiously, referring to the couch.

"Yeah." He nods with a slight smile.

"Nice." I compliment.

"Want to eat, then I can give you a tour?"

I nod pleased, as my stomach rumbles.

"Sounds like a deal. What are we having?" I question in excitement and he smiles.

"You like Lasagna?" I nod at his suggestion.

"Lasagna it is then." We both grin, pleased and Kade begins gathering all of the ingredients to prepare the Italian dish.

Kade and I spoke for hours, ate dinner, laughed till we almost cried and honestly, the night has been incredible.

Kade and I sit across from the other as we continue to conversate.

"So tell me about your family. You never speak about them. What are they like?" He smiles and I shift uncomfortably in my chair.

"Well...there's not much to say really." I sigh.

"Is your parents divorced?"

"No." I reply, trying to think of something to steer us away from the conversation.

"Are you close to them?" He asks curiously and I take a deep breath.

"Yeah I was." I answer, as my mind goes back to old memories.

"Was...?" Kade furrows his brows in confusion, knowing I'm being short with him, but the memories are still painful.

"Yeah...Uhm, they were killed in a car crash while I was in highschool." I say lowly, looking away.

"I—I'm so sorry Gabby, I had no idea. I didn't mean to—"
