Pretty girls never fall for boys who don't have boys girls flocking around them, trying to get their attention.

Pretty girls are always worshiped at school all because of their looks.

Pretty girls have new boyfriends every season.

They shouldn't smart.

Nor are they allowed to play sports.

But most importantly the only things they should like are makeup and clothes, liking something 'geeky' or 'nerdy' is something unimaginable.

And that's why Hyuga and the rest of the basketball team stayed away from the pretty girls of Seirin High. They were so good at pretending that they didn't exist that they had no clue that the girls they were staying away from were actually in advanced classes and some were even in the robotics club.

"See you tomorrow, Cap'in." Koganei and Mitobe bid goodbye annd walked to the direction of their homes, leaving Hyuga and Riko alone.

"Papa won't he home until next week. Mind if I tag along to grab something to eat?"

Hyuga's eyebrow's furrowed, he knew that if he walked into the figure store with Riko, all that she would do is threaten to take pictures of him. But he needed the limited edition of Oda Nobunaga. And it was said that there would be no more releases after the stocks are gone.

"Coach . . . I 'm going to the figure store. Do you mind?" He gulped.

"I can wait." She reassured with a grin different from her tone. It was the grin she used on them when they had games. And it scared him.

He sighed. One day a day will come when something scares the crap out of their demonic coach. For now, there's nothing he can come up with.

--

Her keen eyes scanned the tall metallic shelf of the store as she looked for the Oda Nobunaga figurine that came out hours ago. She thought there'd be a huge crowd outside the store. People who were ready to fight her for the figurine, but to her surprise there wasn't any.

And there it was in its full glory and still in stock. Her hand excitedly reached out towards the figure oblivious to the fact that she was standing extremely close to Hyuga. Only when their hands brushed she realized that there was someone else who liked historical figures. She turned her head only to see Hyuga looking back at her.

Her soul nearly left her body when he looked back at her.

School Athletes.

They never date one girl, they've got a different one for every occasion.

They skip classes and rely on the smart ones to pas their tests.

They were champions of the school and they were also champions at breaking girls' hearts. That's why she and the robotics club did their best to stay away from them.

"You like them, too, huh." He stated. The longer he looked at her the longer she felt herself tremble in fear. Though she wanted to save herself from interacting with him, she still smiled at him.

"I ran here after I finished my model just so I could get this." She replied.

She finally found someone in real life who liked history and figurines, but she told herself that she wasn't gonna let him have his 'ways' with her. She took small and subtle steps to avoid talking to him. Seeing him in school can be avoided. If she talked to him any further she'll end up falling for his 'traps'.

On the other hand, Hyuga couldn't believe that the girl they all stayed away from was standing there, hugging the box close to her. H e didn't want to let go of the moment when . . .

he realized she may have seen this as an opportunity to take him down just like the others that sank down beneath their levels in order to please them but never came back up. So, being bad with words, he ran off to the counter to avoid her.

She closed her agape mouth and her face fell into a frown.

"I must be ugly for him to talk to." She shrugged, watching him walk out with [who she assumed was-] his girlfriend. "Insulting as it may be at least I'm saved. Is this what natural selection means?"

---

He looked up at his ceiling, blinking back and then let out a yell. He was annoyed at himself for finding her pretty. 'Stupid,' he thought. 'Maybe she was buying it for her Brother or someone else.'
