"Thanks." He whispers in reply.
Just a moment later, I feel Nash's fingertips brush along the high points of my cheek, pushing a section of my hair away from my face, and tucking it behind my ear.
He inches closer as he rests his forehead on mine, and his warm breath fans softly against my face.
As I feel his lips every so slightly brush against mine, I draw my head backward, away from his warmth. He looks at me shyly, something I'd never seen Nash be with anyone but me.
Nash's eyes hold a since of sadness, and I feel almost as if I should hug him.
The last thing I needed in my life was Nash prancing his way back into it after he was the one who had pushed me out of his.
I slowly wrap my arms around him, pulling him into a warm and comforting embrace.
Nash doesn't hesitate to wrap his arms around my back and I bury my head in his shoulder.
I'm sick, annoyed, aggravated, frustrated, and even confusion wasn't the words that could describe my already uneasy feeling with him but somehow I needed this.
For a few moments to be able to be close to him, but I couldn't shake my emotions.
He had a way of pushing me away, and then inconveniently pulling me back to him when I didn't want him to.
"I miss you Gabbs."
Somehow no matter the event I ended up back with Nash, and it only took a few short moments before I feel the tears spring to my eyes.
I pull away from his embrace, turning my head from him and quickly wipe my eyes.
I get up from his bed, and turn to his window and almost attempt to ignore him.
"Whats wrong?" Nash asks in concern.
"I want to go home." I state plainly.
"Did I do something?"
"No." I lie.
I miss him too, I want things to go back to what they were but I know I can't go backwards with him anymore or else I'll give into him. And It was true, Nash was wrong for everything he's done. I know somewhere deep down inside of him a part of him is good, but one too many times he's been too selfish, and didn't consider anyone but himself.
Nash backs off, remaining quiet. We both stand apart from each other for a few moments, staring into the abis awkwardly.
Just before Nash can say something seemingly important, I jump at the sudden slam of a car door, Nash jumping up from his bed, seperating the blinds in order to peek outside.
"Ugh" Nash sighs, turning to me and I look him questionably.
"My mom is here." He pauses.
"Totally forgot she was going to stop by this week." He adds before letting out another deep breath.
Before Nash even grabs a shirt the door bell rings.
"Just stay up here for me...okay?" He asks and I nod as he exits the room, shutting the door behind him.
I listen closely, the doorbell ringing again as Elizabeth grows impatient, and I can hear Nash practically charging down the stairs.

Nash's POV
"Coming!" I yell as Mom rings the door bell impatiently, and I quickly make my way down the staircase.
Before she can ring it a third time, I sling the door open.
Mom was grinning wide, and I chuckle at her a bit as I stand at the door frame and greet her.
"Well its about time someone answered. I've called you about 3 times." She says a little irritated.
"It's good to see you too mom."
"Honey, you dont look ready at all. You need to get a shirt on, it's nearly 5 o'clock." She scolds me and I roll my eyes at her.
"Mom."
"Mom what?"
"Look right now isn't a good time." I beg her.
"What else would you be doing today? It is excruciatingly hot out here would you please let me in? I've given you life after all." She welcomes herself as I move aside, mentally praying that I can find a way to get her out of here.
"Something wrong?" I ask her as she looks around curiously.
"I'm surprised. You've cleaned up quite a bit here." She nods pleasantly.
"Yeah. I have."
Even though it was Gabby who was over days ago, I had her to thank for my mom's approval.
"Doesn't happen to be because of Gabby coming around does it?"
Her words leave my jaw dropped as I immediately go straight to denial.
"Gabby? No. Mom, Gabby is—"
"Crazy about you otherwise she wouldn't be staying the night with you."
