Chapter 48: Sexual

A/N: I try to make the reader feel the story as much as possible, and part of that is by interjecting fluff in between time jumps so you can sorta feel the passage of time in between months. BTW, remember when I said all storylines were related? Let's just say if you've been skipping the Norminah fluff, you've been skipping bits of Camren too. And I know even the people who read the Norminah fluff in the previous chapter missed the Camren parts [eyes emoji]. Pay attention to de fluff, people, cuz nothing is irrelevant [illuminati emoji]

"Do you have something to share with me?"

"Share? Like what?"

"Like is there anyone you like or-"

"Come on, mami. I'm in college. I barely have time to breathe. Let alone date," I said quickly.

"Oh okay..." my mom said, sounding disappointed, "Well...when you do like someone, you can tell me. You know that, right? You can come to me for anything."

"Don't worry, mami. When I like someone, you'll be the first to know."

"Okay, good. Just don't forget about Lauren, okay?"

"I won't."

My mom looked me in the eye and touched my cheek gently. For a horrifying moment, it seemed like she was on the verge of saying something else. But she just gave me an undecipherable smile and shook her head slightly, before playfully ruffling my hair and wishing me good night. (CH 43) < - - - - - IMPORTANT CONVERSATION ALERT

Tech Convention: Normani's journals: And now that I know you're into tech, I'm gonna learn as much as I can about it. You're gonna talk to me about it one day, so I wanna be able to keep up with you. + I hope one day we'll get to watch games together! Or...maybe we can even go to a Lakers/Sparks game! Or even a tech convention! That'll be fun!
Dinah's reaction: And now that I thought about it, once she'd gotten over her shyness, I could talk to Normani about anything. She may not have been exposed to a lot of social things, but she was knowledgeable about a great deal of other topics, especially tech. I imagined going to a tech convention with her. We'd have so much fun geeking out over the latest products. (CH 41)
